I too would keep it in basement near the boiler/ furnace as it is warm. I will try this method in mid May as it is too cold now.

I live in Buckinghamshire- round the corner from you. . I buy round seed (normally Romanian) in 700gm bags from Indian shop. Don't buy oval shaped seeds as they are for cooking and not growing. The Trick is - I soak my seeds for 2-3 hours in about 20 ml of Tomato feed & in 500 ml of water. Dry the seeds and plant straight away, as wet seeds are difficult to scatter.. No need to wait overnight or for the seeds to sprout. Seedlings appear within 10 days. Every 10 days I keep planting 2 large pots to give me continual growth from April till end of November. I also grow in my small veg patch. Smell of home grown coriander is beautiful that even after washing hands you can still smell it. At the end of season I plant more seeds but in my green house for winter growth. 700 gm seeds can carry on till next year. TIP-- Store seeds in airtight bottle or container.

Very difficult to grow corrindore plant. After the seedlings sprout to an inch or two, it will die peacefully no matter what you do. I poured the water like you do in this video, I sprinkled the water as adviced by some others, all to no avail.
