I've been using this flashlight for my forest-walks for the past 3 years and its a very good one and super easy to carry. Thanks for the video.

It was an interesting video, but it didn’t tell me what I needed. When I unscrew the top, the batteries are not accessible, so how do I put in new batteries? The silver cone does not come out.

Thanks for posting dude - I couldn't figure out how to open mine to put the batteries in ! .....as for the use - it's a requirement for me to use only "CE" marked "intrinsically safe" equipment for work.. "intrinsically safe" is the UK and European standard for electrical equipment, safe for use in flammable and potentially explosive environments.....basically it must have shrouded wiring, be unable to come apart easily (hence the screw and internal casing) and be able to contain failure and fire within the appliance, with no escape. I'm a petrol tanker driver - so I load in refineries and deliver to petrol stations.

I have that same light except my is a single mode. How I take the batteries out m, is to simple tap the light upside down with my hands, and battery compartment will fall right out.

I use this one at work in the oilfield of Northern Alberta, Canada. It's great and I bought it specifically for the side light for shining behind sight glasses on various pressure vessels

I like most of the features of this light the only thing I'm not a big fan of is needing a tool to change my batteries. Excellent review my friend and as always thanks for sharing.

Agree. They need to make it easier to change the batteries. Thanks or watching

The set screw on the side of the product is a requirement by the Test Lab to ensure Intrinsic Safety. Ultimately... they don't want the user to open the product inside a hazardous environment by requiring a "specialty tool". Crazy we know, but required for safety. Thanks for the love.

You can always just take the screw out, you don’t need it to keep the top on. They do make a model without the little screw which also adds a magnet in the base so you can stick it on something. Pretty strong for 3 AA’s great little light

I own one of these Nightstick flashlights and while it feels sturdy and well made the instructions are poor, the flashlight doesn't work, and even though I got it free with a gun holster, this flashlight is in the trash since it's junk.
