If you like crab, try visiting Samutsakorn. There are abundant sea ports and fish markets. You can eat at 1/4 price from Phuket and the taste is better because it is fresh right from the sea.

I still remember this street when I was there you can buy seafood from another shop an let them cook for you but they charge the fee of cooking and let you sit there for eating but you muat check before some restaurant they charge you everything including tax service charge but the face they don't serve you well

Guys please reconsider eating horseshoe crab as they are very rare and it had survived mora than millions years of evolution. Scientists farm their blood for the good of humanity so it's already bad enough to do that to them. I am not here to bash other people's culture but it is important to also understand eating rare species can caused them to face extinctions. :,(

I think it depend on the area and the restaurent too, I've been to a few places like this in Thailand but not in Phuket and almost all of them are good. if they can ruined the taste of fresh seafood, that mean they're really bad

I was told that the taste is unpleasant by friends who have eaten before too. Because it is considered as a delicacy, there would be people who dislike them. Just like the korean delicacy; Beondegi (silkworm pupa), it has an acquired taste as well.

That's horsecrab is hard to cook. Not every restaurant can bring the taste out. Additionally, it is an acquired taste. I think it depends on the person, similar to durian.

7:20 horseshoe crab roe (belangkas) actually doesn't taste that bad. That's how it tastes, tasteless. I think maybe because both of them have to much expectations and thought it would taste like crab roe (no, because it's completely diff). That why their response were quite dissapointed. My first time trying the dish is ok. Neither i like it or dislike it. I enjoyed it and do not mind to try it again.

I kaah Thais don’t use lemon for cooking at all; unless it’s western dishes. You’ll find lemon in big supermarket, not local market. If you order lemonade in any Thai local restaurant or street storefront, it’s not lemon.
