@@DGSnowolf Personally I thought Inaki was the weakest but it makes sense given his age since he’s the youngest, he was still great as Luffy and he can definitely improve in Season 2. Zoro imo was one of the better castings. I doubt they could’ve found a better actor than Mackenyu to play him since Mackenyu captures Zoro’s stoic nature and he actually knows how to do swordplay which translates well in LA. He was one of the main villains in one of yhe Rorouni Kenshin LA movies, and his father is Sonny Chiba so he definitely has tons of experience in acting especially compared to the others.

He's not a vampire despite how you'd think with his name, appearance (pale skin, yellow inhuman eyes, sleek black hair), superhuman strength, and aesthetic (long red and black coat, the cross around his neck, the coffin-shaped boat, etc.), this dude is just like that. He's built different, he's got an aesthetic, and he's committed to it.

Because like, One Piece has fish-men, mermaids, giants, animal people, cyborgs, and so-on, vampires would not look out-of-place here, but there are just some characters where it's just never explained why they're like that so they're just defaulted to human. Like, Gecko Moria is just by default a human person despite looking like a muppet version of Satan and being like 20 feet tall.

In the manga and anime, fighting him is what helps Sanji to see the resolve needed to pursue dreams in the OP world, which is why he ultimately listened to Zeff and became a Straw Hat. And with Gin, we get the first example of inherited will in the series. That doesn’t happen without Don Krieg. He’s also a cautionary tale for how dangerous the Grand Line is-since despite being called the strongest man in the East Blue and having such a large fleet, they were wiped out by a Mihawk who wanted to kill time. And with him fleeing from Mihawk, we get the glimpse into someone who being called the strongest actually matters. The Straw Hats had been going through with relative ease, but Mihawk demonstrated that that will not be the case in the Grand Line. Don Krieg was absolutely needed.

We already met two cross guild members in live and Mihawk killed it (and Zoro lol) also Sanji is introduced and I already love him so much, he’s not perverted and more like a charismatic playboy, which I really dig. He's usually very expressive too, but with Zoro, since the direction seems to be him needing to be brooding and stoic... He couldn't express that too much? To me, it was a good adaptation from the scene in the manga/anime, but as they said, it's hard to really make it look not awkward and cringe in real life.

I think it would have helped if the actual fight was more 1:1, they took out the audience that was watching that added to the humiliation, and zoro should have been more desperate and ready to die
