Here’s a tip to up your spice tolerance, eat spicy food starting from stuff like flaming hot Cheetos up to Buldak Noodle level. Everyday if you didn’t drink milk or water while eating the current spicy food, go to the next level, if you do drink water or milk, 3 strikes = move your level down by 1. This will help you up your spice tolerance

For fire noodle. Heres my tips. Water makes it worse! Do not turn it into a soup, it makes the spice sharper, and more coughy. I recomend using half a pack of the sauce and/or adding a drizzle of neutral oil (veggie oil) with the sauce. after adding your oil, microwave your noodles for another 20-35 seconds and stir a bit. This some how makes it a bit sweeter while also dulling the spice a lot. Im not 100% sure why, but it does. I think for the spice, the capsaicin dissolves into the oil (capsaicin is not soluable in water) after microwaving the oil turns red, some of it coats the noodles (tasty and keeps noodles moist). While the rest coats the bowl/sinks to the bottom. It will remove some of the capsaicin from the sauce.Furthermore, some fire noodle flavors are less spicy than others. The jjajjang (light green) and light (balck and tan) flavor are the least spicy. Lastly, get a cup of milk or ice cream! And dont be afraid to drink it throughout! One thing i love about spice is how amazing it makes milk taste. Your goal is to enjoy food, so dont be afraid or shamed from drinking milk if it mean enjoying your food

If you really want to make a less spicier noodle, use the noodle seasoning combined with raw egg and mayo, stir it well enough to make the seasoning mixed well with the egg and mayo. Then you give it a splash or two of the water from the noodle after that you can mix it with the cooked noodle. It will tone down the spice and you will love the taste. What you did when giving raw egg after you mix the noodle with the seasoning is not doing a great job at toning down the spiciness. Just give my recipe a try and you will like it. I usually use Kewpie mayo and I'm sure you can get it easily in Japan. 😊

Hey Bento my recipe for is this and I would like you to try,Get a pan boil 3/4 water for 7 minutes high heat for it to fully bubble Then what you would do add the noodles, Let them cook for 5 minutes and every 2 minutes mix then on the last minute mix however you want. After strain the noodles water until there’s 1/4 left then get some mild and add it until 2/4 and a half mid heat let it cook for 4 minutes like before mix every 2 minutes then put in the sauce packet then mix for 1 minute low heat then plate get your drink and go eat this is one of the best recipes 🙏🏾🤤

Cream and cheese both definitely help, kewpie mayo too :) definitely some protein like meat doesn’t help with spice _but_ it takes your mind off of the spice for a little, kinda like giving your tongue a break. I’m also just a maniac who loves buldak noodles and eat them everyday 😀💀
@alexsings33317 күн бұрын
Something I learned from my sister that makes buldak noodles more enjoyable is to add a bit of milk, then add some butter, and lastly top it off with kewpie mayo, lots of it! ( this is more preferred then regular mayo ) I like to buy the carbonara version of the buldak :))!!

For me I thin it out with a little more water and some butter then I cook the broth in the microwave for 2 minutes or more to break down the butter and properly cook the sauce. If done right it's creamy but still has a great kick. Alternatively You can use a 12oz coffee cup with the sauce, powder, and noodle water without the butter and just use a fork as a whisk to break it all down. I wouldn't try going above 14 or 16 ounces because the seasoning packet loses it flavor pretty quickly. (This is only for samyang buldak noodle pouches)

personally my spice tolerance is dependent on my mood and ibs/tummy condition. sometimes i wanna eat something so spicy i can't taste anything else. and somehow im lucky to know my ibs doesn't get triggered by spicy food usually, the type of food matters more. if i REALLY over do the spiciness, yeah maybe my body will punish me a little. but its ok sometimes i don't even wanna smell hot spice especially when my ibs is running wild and im getting acid reflux. that stuff makes my appetite for spiciness at negative 0. although i just think its unfortunate because i love spicy food usually. its ok to follow what you prefer imo. i don't think its embarrassing to not have tolerance to spicy food because of the duality of my experience. its your body, your choice should be yours alone and people pressuring you to do something uncomfortable is just distasteful tbh. i might have a medical reason not to eat spicy food occasionally, but that shouldn't be why i don't eat spicy food sometimes. i literally just follow my mood. mood says spicy? let's goo. mood says mild or no spiciness? that's totally fine too. turns out my mood agrees with my ibs usually. if my mood is for spicy food, my stomach react positively to the spicy food.
