I'm glad he got asked about things like cooking and the groceries he purchases. All those things are interrelated and point to how your food strategies shouldn't focus on what you can't control, but should focus on what you can: pre-making meals, incremental change of food diet, filling your cart with veggies, since a lot of meat products freeze very well and can be frozen in portion sizes that make them a small ratio of your meal. I liked his honesty and pragmatism!

happy hermit: i get your point of why eat meat after 6, but the point is not to follow extremes. if you tell people i forbid you to eat cookies, pizza hamburgers, they will never follow the diet long term. if you can eat vegan the majority of the day, then your tastebuds began to change, and you re eating super healthy for 3/4 of your day. that is better than staying on the standard american diet. many people that have tried this said that what they used to crave, was no longer a craving after trying the VB6. U are correct that eating meat everyday is bad for you, but remember not everyone may be as disciplined as you, so meeting them half way helps the person to incorporate healthier eating without making them feel like they have to eliminate everything. i believe it will keep them on this long term. i have heard that 95% of people lose the weight but after 2 yrs, 5% or less stay on the diet, hopefully turning them into a flexatarian, eventually vegetarian.

You totally missed the point of VB6. If you like meat, you get to eat it for dinner.

The people who are eating a vegetarian/vegan diet who are concerned about not getting enough protein... Well, they need to examine how much protein one actually needs throughout the day, and then also realise that they're getting MORE than enough already.

Great video. Very inspiring. Like the speaker's friend in about minute 45... I too have a vegetarian friend who is obese and only eats pizza.

I guess vegetarianism is a spectrum too that ranges from very unhealthy to healthy food? The healthy part being because it overlaps with veganism/plant based food? The unhealthy part due to the refined carbs/sugars that you can eat and the high quantities of dairy?

Dietary science does not support fat producing satiety. Protein, fiber, bulk trigger fullness. Sorry but fat is the least useful macro.
@vegevore2 жыл бұрын
He is so very wrong about the fat making you full. Its actually dietary fibre that makes you feel full. Cellulose, i.e. carbohydrates from whole foods.
