The one here in Los Angeles is great ! The selection is amazing and the food is fantastic! Should do well in Santa Clara. I grew up there and in San Jose. It's always been an Italian loved city. Italians were all part of the early days of the Santa Clara Valley.

This is not noteworthy news and doesn't need to be reported on repeatedly. It's really a high priced chain that adds to the marginalization of authentic mom and pop Italian retailers who will now have megastore to contend with and probably die as a result. Why not report on the nuance or help the small guys??

They did already. There was a story a few weeks back where they covered this and the Mom and Pop shop across the street. I don’t recall if it was KPIX but it was definitely one of the Bay Area stations. The Mom and Pop shop owners were interviewed and they welcome them and stated they’re not worried about any competition that may come from them.
