The answer to that is unlikeable, but simple. Cops are innocent until proven guilty, and to charge with anything, you would have to prove that they had _willful and malicious intent_ . Without an email or bodycamera footage that shows that they knew she was innocent but conspired to take away her freedom, or some evidence that they did it to settle a grudge of something, you got nothin. Unless you have some evidence that shows willful intent to deprive her of her rights, no prosecuter is going to do anything. Because it was a voter initiative, the city council cannot undo it, even if they all voted to not do it. The voters demanded it, and the voters are getting it. At the time, the cops put their own inititive on the ballot to counter it, but it got almost no votes. There was no union contract at the time becaues the cops were waiting to see the outcome, but now that it has seen it, they won't sign a new contract. I am fine with that. If they don't sign a new contract, they don't get raises, and they are already the higest paid police force in the state. If the woman wasn’t even in Vegas back then, how did these ‘detectives’ come up with this non-sense??! Need to lay Criminal charges on these story writers, not detectives…
@mikeklinkowski42286 күн бұрын
Of course they won't answer questions.. Just cost the taxpayers a ton of money for their inexcusable existence!

This is done everyday in ever state more time's than not the innocent victims DON'T get cleared.

Obviously they should go to prison for at least 16 years, but they won’t because there is very, very rarely any justice in cases where law enforcement or the judiciary is involved in abhorrent conduct. Hope the rest of her life is peaceful and content.

Cops and criminals are two sides of the same coin and often times they are one and the same.

Did the detectives go to jail…they should enjoy the benefits of “BUBBA”

So happy for her, She deserves every PENNY ,now what happens to the scumbags who framed her ?
@leemarie4144 күн бұрын
We always hear about the framing, the exonerations and the money awarded. But we never hear about the charges (if any) or disciplinary actions imposed on the crooked cops. It's as if, "Hey, we found you innocent, we let you out now take this money and shut up."

*So she did about 16-17 years and they only made the detectives pay $10,000 to her smh, that’s about $1.65 a day for every day that she was in jail, that’s fckd up*

This is Justice if they take it out of the pension fund. Otherwise it's just a burden to the taxpayer.

Of course these liars don’t want to answer questions ( are people trustworthy just because they work for law? Absolutely no) stop judging people with a past. Their punishment was what a court decided and the punishment doesn’t include punishment for life if the court did not order as such.

At 0:41, she wasn't even in Las Vegas at the time of the murder. How many times have they done this to other people?
