The cool thing about ocean spray is they are a coop owned by the farmers. When they got their website redesigned a few years back the farmers in the coop all had to approve of it :)

So cool to learn this. I love to eat Ocean Spray whole berry cranberry sauce year round. I just get a craving for it! Chilled in the fridge, straight from the can, yum. It's not only for Thanksgiving. Bless these farmers for their hard work and a bountiful harvest.

so the plants grow in the dry field and then it is flooded under 2 feet of water. people & machines stomp all over the submerged plants to harvest the floating berries...eventually the water drains. how do the plants survive this and doTHEY produce the next years berries?

@The_Muthias
@The_Muthias 17 күн бұрын
Bogman here by adding layers of sand over time helps keep the beds solid and also helps the vine focus energy on growing berries as opposed to more vegitative growth. There have been opposition groups protesting sand removal for use. I wish more people would research more
@roqua
@roqua 17 күн бұрын
@@The_Muthias I would have been OK with a multi-paragraph response with a bit more detail, but I appreciate the answer. I assume the protest groups you speak of don't want sand taken from somewhere else and transported to the bogs for use in this vine-covering process?
