I've been facing this problem for almost a year. I'm just 15 years old, so it removes out the fatigue from age. I've gotten to a point where I'm at my best, at my prime, where my aim, game sense, and skills are consistent and decent to clutch up games. But now it's gone, my snappy aim became complete dog sh*t, my movement became clunky, and I now kept being caught off guard causing enemies to react first. I don't know why, what or how it happened. It feels like it's just gone. I've been trying to find a way to get it back and still couldn't. I've tilted so many times to the point that I don't wanna game at all anymore. I just wanna get my prime back...

I think one of the biggest hurdles in online match making games is to accepting the fact that you might come across a bot, smurf, hacker, etc. players and there's nothing you can do to stop it and to instead of it ruining your whole match experience. Take it with a table spoon of salt and stay positive and try find away to practice amidst the chaos going on. Remember one likes to deal with this but until they can find a way to stop it completely well just have to deal with it for the time being and knowing and accepting it can happen tends to soft the blow a little when you come across it.

Super value with what’s said here. I’ve been trying too get better sniping on blops 4 nuketown. Extremely situational based game, lots of abilities, extremely fast paced. And it’s dead anyways, with only old school veterans on there now. As I continue focus on the “fun stuff”, too see the exponential growth in the shots I hit and clips I manage too pull off, it’s still minimal improvement and I make the same mistakes. But now as I practice map awareness, jump shots, sliding, ducking and weaving behind cover, being aware of my team and objectives which I always considered the “boring” stuff… the skill platue is starting too break. I feel as long as these certain things are practiced and experimented on more.

The only way you get too the next level is too 1. Not only just putting thousands of hours into the game, but how you use every minute of those thousands of hours learning new things, guides on games etc...play with good players...that’s it.

I've seen this a lot in my scene. There are so many players that live close to each other that are good that can help others improve. To better implement what is said in the video, Our scene created a Google doc of players and contact info so that who ever is available, they can practice, learn, and improve. Some ppl learn better online so a good hour of playing, feedback, and recording is done as well. It works! Each time I go to a tournament you can tell everyone is improving.

If someone spends 1000s of hours on research and video creation for free content, but then has an optional patreon, coaching service or product, then look at as a way to support the creator. If you aren't interested that's fine, but recognize that many others find a ton of value in those things (and without them those creators would be homeless).

My advice: take a break. I have found that whenever I find myself in a plateau I’ll take a break from that game for a few days, and when I come back to it not only does it feel fresher, I feel like my skills have caught up with my time played.

saying it's better to "have a match against an equal opponent" is a misconception, and a losers trap. the proven way to improve is always to go against opponents better than you. there have been case studies, for example on a Russian tennis gym that produced many tennis stars, young players are always beaten on by better players (there is a book called The Talent Code which examines this in depth) the unfortunate reality is that most people cannot climb the mental hill of being crushed by better players, which is needed to improve. practicing against a better opponent is how you learn. practicing/playing against people of your own skill is how you never improve faster than the other people at your level (which is also why "playing more" doesn't really help, everyone at your rank is getting better at about the same rate

Great advice! I think this highlights the importance of pushing beyond one's' comfort zone. The only caution is to not push too far, it's about finding the optimal level challenge. I appreciate the insight!

@@eathletelabs no problem, I would check out the book if you have time. it's very interesting to see why some areas produce so many talented high performers. one thing I believe is that you'll learn way more from a loss than a win, if only people could focus on improvement rather than win/loss ratio good video though

It depends on the level of skill and it's important to maintain both. But most of the time at a pro or semi-pro level it is the team coordination and macro-play that makes the biggest difiference.

I play a vr game called Echo Arena (go check it out it NEEDS attention), which is basically modeled after Enders game. It is ultimate frisbee in space. In VR. Best game. Anyway, I’m getting ahead of myself. I have played for around a year and I have spent hours a day on this game trying to improve. I have been at the same skill level for around 4 months now. This helped SO MUCH. (But seriously, go get the game it has a professional league)

So I wanna improve at FPS games and your videos really inspired me. However whenever I go back and watch my gameplay and try to stop myself making the same mistakes I end up forgetting and doing it anyway. I saw the video on trying to remember and such but still cannot force myself to do it. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to go about removing mistakes and making better plays?

I have about 70 hours total using MnK and I was wondering what a better approach to improving would be, taking a more skill plateau improvement approach. Or dedicating more time to the specific game in mind to better learn how to handle aiming. Because I’m not sure if my problem is inexperience using mice or that I’ve hit a plateau. Thanks for any help and great video as per usual.

I'm borderline pro at every single game I play after 2 weeks give or take. Fortnite I'm so cracked, cs go I was better than average, cod I was ridiculous, but every single game I just cant go pro. I dont know what to do but i want to be a pro gamer more than anything honestly. Like I'm naturally gifted on the sticks and the keys and i have a great PC, but it just never happens. Idk what to do and it makes me want to give up on my dream.
