I LOVE eating hot food for no reason and just lighting myself up. I like going into Pepper Palace and trying samples of all of the hot sauces they try. The hottest pepper I’ve ate so far is a ghost pepper. I grew some last year and boy they will light your ass up. Habaneros are no joke either, people in the comments saying they’re nothing but nah them things pack a punch. I just dehydrated some and grounded them up into a powder to put on some homemade beef jerky (in the dehydrator right now). Whenever I took the lid off my food processor, the smell of them freshly grounded peppers smacked me right up the nose lol. Im excited to see how hot the jerky is. I dehydrated like 8 habaneros but only used 1 LB of beef. I didn’t use all of the powder, no way lol. It wouldn’t even be enjoyable. I added it to a worchestershire marinade I made along with other basic spices like garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and a little sugar, (found the recipe online, just added the habaneros). I wanted it to be hot but not so much where you don’t want to eat another piece. We’ll see how it turned out in a few hours!
@roadkillanonymous48073 жыл бұрын
I did this with a very similar looking habanero the other morning…after getting through the wall of pain I was positively buzzed! Coffee’s got nothing on that for waking you up RIGHT NOW!!! I got uncontrollable hiccups and flailed around a bit…my wife thinks I’m an idiot to which I say “and you chose me ON PURPOSE!!!!” With the growing awareness of ghosts, scorpions, reapers, 7 pots, and other “super hots” the mighty habanero doesn’t get much respect anymore…one might almost think it isn’t that hot but make no mistake, this used to be the hottest pepper on earth and it hits you like it means to hurt you! Another peculiarity of these I’ve noticed is this: the superhots like ghosts and scorpions hit with noticeably greater wrath than the humble habanero BUT in my experience they start fading out faster too. That flipping habanero was an insidious little bastard, like it went camping in my mouth and throat and just made a little campfire in there and decided to stay for a loooong time. Again, just my subjective and masochistic opinion, but the habanero is still the king (to me) of grabbing you by the face and not letting go for like 15-20 full minutes of burn

I had never eaten one, but I was with a bunch of friends and felt like showing off. After much prodding, she reluctantly brought me one on a plate cut up into tiny pieces. I mean like half the size of a TicTac. I put one piece on my tongue and immediately spit it out. I was sweating and had tears coming out of my eyes for about an hour. My friends were cracking up. My mouth burned for about 5 minutes… I drank water and ate a popsicle immediately after eating the pepper but the worst part was when I touched my check, side of my head temple area and chest and all three spots burned for 20 minutes and turned a dark red. @@MadGaming_TV You are being fed horribly wrong information. No, hot sauce is never as hot as the peppers used to make them. That is because there are other ingredients diluting the capsaicin. If you want a hot sauce that is as hot as a habanero, put a bunch of habaneros in a blender with nothing else. There you go. Easy. Also, hot sauce is not normally consumed in the same quantity as whole peppers, which can be quite large. Da bomb hot sauce, which someone (G3 mintblock) very stupidly mentioned, is an extract sauce. The heat does not come from peppers, but from pepper extract. You can make these sauces nearly as hot as you want. Hot sauces being milder than the peppers used to make them is why extract sauces exist in the first place. So yeah, the person (G3 mintblock) who fed you that bs is quite dumb indeed.
