Growing up wasn’t an easy road for me making friends but it teaches me how to be grateful for the hard times you had to become a strong person and hopefully one day you’ll teach future generations that it’s ok to grow up in hard times but you learn from them... our ancestors dealt with hard times and we should too I’m sure they’ll guide us to our journey in this world and one day when we’re gone we’ll see them in the heavens and hear their stories both good and bad in the heavens with our lord and savior... Making friends is a luxury for me these days but having family is the most important thing in life to cherish every moment being around them... they’re the reason why we exist... (Sorry if I’m editing a year after this message got posted but we as individuals must be grateful to be here on this planet and enjoy every minute of it while we still can... Shrek brings me such a strong sense of nostalgia. I look back to my childhood and reminisce about the days of innocence. Now that I'm grown I realize that things will never be the same but that's what makes those memories so special. There are always better days ahead and remember to take it easy on yourself.

I just lost my father. This song reminds me of our entire family being together on a Saturday night and enjoying pizza. Being in the foster care system, we rarely got to see or spend time together. When my mother died everything changed. A decade later I’ve lost him and my sister has told me she no longer has to tolerate me (which was just an awful thing to say to someone). I didn’t cry much at all, having lost 4 people this year. But, this morning I dreamt that we were all together having dinner and that this song was playing in the back. Completely broke down sobbing as I awoke. Cherish the ones you love.

@@a_loyal_kiwi88 my dad got pushed away by my mom and couldn't see me, my brother and sisters grow up until my mom pushed me away for other reasons. today and most of the other days i eat alone too but i feel the worst for my dad, doing this for almost 2 decades now. it breaks me up everytime i think about it. it's a gift seeing your children grow up, i wish i could give him that. but he can see me grow older now, getting mature and all :) lifes granted
