Nice to see a video from the place I lived for the most of my life. For those comsidering a visit: Most places were from the Hlavná street (or Main street in English). If you find our cuisine heavy, there are still places, even on that street with Italian, Asian or Indian cuisines. For the fast food lovers there are KFC, McDonald's, Burger King and even Starbucks in nearby Aupark shopping centre. McDonald's is just outside of that. If you need to speak to someone, try younger people, as most folks 40+ years have probably never learnt English. Older people might also be less welcoming, since they might feel unsafe or even threatened by foreign people (we used to have borders tightly locked, so they haven't learned to coexist woth foreigners).

On a scale of 1-10, how safe did you felt there? Thinking of going there with my wife but not sure how safe it is.

I used to live in Košice, I felt very safe in the main streets, just don't go to the surrounding neighbourhoods at night and you will be fine, even those are pretty safe. Košice is a beautiful place best time visit is late September imo.

Hi, a local from Košice. Watch out for drunk people at night or close to midnight. Older people (50+, but sometimes even 30+) won't speak English and might be unwelcoming (they lived through different times when tourists were only locals).
