Definitely a reservation is needed! We popped in unexpectedly on an early Saturday night and they fitted us in. I had the Voodoo Barbecue & Mac N cheese & loved every bite of it. I took half home. Jim had their fried shrimp which was the best he’s ever had in TV. We absolutely love their delicious food & excellent service!! Everything is superb‼️So glad it was a winner for y’all because it is our winner too😃😉

You are probably the only person that gives a slow and clear view of the menu.I would have ordered the meatloaf.Northwest Suburban Chicago has a few Southern(style) breakfast/lunch cafe.Big menu with large portions and the prices are equal Miz Kathi.Good choice.

Once you showed the location, I realized that we've driven past several times, but never stopped in. I think I would probably order the Pork Ribeye, as it was the special of the day. Back when I was a kid growing up in Nashville, I used to LOVE catfish, but that's been MANY years ago, LOL. Ted and I had Shepard's pie on our first date, so that's become a favorite. I follow a southern Grandma (Meme) in SC hear on YT, and purchased her cookbook - I just love it! The cornbread looks delish. Tember's salad looks AMAZING! As does everything else. You can't say that's the best meatloaf you've ever had IN FRONT OF YOUR MOTHER, 🤣. Both cakes look yummy! Great review, thanks!

I visited for 1st time recently, fried green tomatoes and Arnold Palmer were excellent. Will now need to try breakfast and the bakery. Took coconut cake to go…a little sweet but it’s cake 😂delicious !

Lots of places have high prices these but you also have to look at what kind of restaurant it is and the value of the food. Even fast food is getting expensive lol

Good food but pretty pricey. $17.50 for a hamburger and $4 for a Coke? Ouch. Go across the street to the Coney Island Hot Dog restaurant and you can get 2 dogs, fries and a milk shake for $17.50 or less.

I think the difference here is that you are paying for very high quality food. We have been to Coney Island as well and enjoy that! It just depends what style you are looking for.
