As a Jamaican I can tell you the best way to gauge how good a Jamaican restaurant is will be based upon the attitude of the person serving or taking your order. If they are kind and sweet, chances are their food sucks. In real good Jamaican spots the servers/person on the register has a wicked fierce attitude. Trust me😂

Scott’s is the real deal. In the 1990s in Windsor, CT Scott’s would sell patties with coco bread at the public schools for lunch. Amazing!

Dunn River is my favorite Jamaican restaurant in Hartford Connecticut their chicken with gravy is out of this world and super official rice is so good they have great soups that change often and man I'll tell you what those oxtails will have you going back.

Yes Oxtail is amazing You have to be careful with oxtail at some places because they will sometimes be prepared more like Italian oxtail(tomato based) rather than being cooked in Jamaican spices

Yo Daym!! If you ever come to NJ namely the capital Trenton, check out Bamboo Jamaican Grill!! Very good oxtails, amazing jerk chicken wings as well, and the beef patty is meaty and flavorful.

Garlic powder, onion, green onion and all purpose seasoning, mrs dash, and salt(lawrys seasoned salt)and black pepper and 2 or 3 scotch bonnet. And jamaican curry powder(on the meat). Add oil and curry powder to the pot. After curried oil is burned add goat and alittle water and cook it low for maybe 130-2hours until tender. You can add pimento seeds also

I have 2 places in the metro Atlanta area that i go to for jamaican/carribean food. First place is Kingston grill in forest park,ga (metro ATL). they have a wonderful oxtail pasta (yeah you heard right), jerk chicken pasta and jerk chicken spring rolls (actually egg rolls). the second spot is paulee's place off cobb parkway in Marietta. they serve a baby back jerk rib that's great and make sure you get "gravy" on your rice and bean for that extra kick! trust me you will love both places

Wasup Daym I live in Middle Ga I stay tuned in on your vids but if you're ever in south ATL or just south of ATL Jamaican Taste in Jonesboro, Ga is the best I have ever had period. The beef patty is so flaky and buttery and the oxtails will make you slap somebody it's really on point man. There's a Jamaican spot here in Detroit called "Jamaican Pot" on 8mile Rd. I literally have to tell them mild when I order their jerk chicken because spicy had me about to run to the water hose! Their beef patties are on point too! They have a very nice lil kick to them too with a nice flaky dough/crust. Ox tails were good as well. This is my first spot I think of when ordering in Detroit. Funny thing, I live right between two other Jamaican joints but I don't mind traveling an extra mile for that good-good!!!🤘💯
