Finally I get to see you eating Cambodian food! I feel in love with Cambodian food while living in Philadelphia and working with the Cambodian Community. Cambodian is one of my favorite Asian styles of food and has pushed Chinese back some. I remember the rice soup.

SE Asian food is so different from rest of Asian cuisine. Bright clean flavors, not overly hot or heavy. Great food experience.

My mother and I ate here last night on 26 September 2023. Here is what she posted to an account on-line about the restaurant: "Yesterday evening up in Phoenix, Arizona, I had a dining experience that was unique for me and that I had never had before. Reathry Sekong is the only Cambodian restaurant in Arizona, and it features traditional cuisine that one would find in Phnom Penh. Even Ronnie had only had Cambodian food once before at a restaurant in Quebec City, Quebec, years ago. We had three dishes in all. The Lok Lak Steak Salad was one from the old days of the French Protectorate of Cambodia and was a mix of the two cultures. Lemongrass Soup and Cambodian Pork Chops were more traditional with the latter being renowned as one of the national dishes of the country. Every plate was top quality and delicious. The restaurant is decorated with Khmer art, and it is family-owned. The young man who was our waiter was very amiable, and he told us that Mom was back in the kitchen doing the cooking. We told him to tell Mom that she was a superb chef. For anyone who has not had this cuisine before and who happens to be in Phoenix, this is a dining establishment to definitely check out." I think it’s every mom’s (of every culture) slogan. There’s food at home. Lol😂 And also it’s absolutely true that if my family members go to a restaurant that serves gumbo or something creole or really anything we cook regularly, they don’t order it because it’s not gonna taste like what we make at home. And we definitely think our food is better than the food at the restaurant. I think it’s the development of recipes to suit your own palate and also the way your palate is developed by the food you grow up eating. But just because like mine better doesn’t mean yours isn’t good. But it will definitely be judged. 😩🤦🏾‍♀️🤣 If you spend any time in the kitchen, you know what I’m talking about. It was funny to me though when he said “I don’t know, I just eat food.” 😂

Not a ton of Cambodian folks out here, but people seem to be surprised at how much great Thai, Vietnamese and various regions of Chinese food we have, especially in Mesa along Dobson. Obviously the huge specialties in Phoenix are Sonoran style Mexican food and then of course Neapolitan style pizza as Phoenix is a pizza city and wood fired pizza is the specialty.

It's rare but there's a good amount around the country. Out west towards California has the most abundant amount of Cambodian restaurant.

Top south east asian cuisine definitely be khmer and Laotian foods, can definitely understand how JL says it's cleans the soul and body , compared to western foods,it's refreshing to the soul and more digestive to the body

Cambodian food is good. This man that sells prohok sauce for steak said some people tried it. And he said some said it tastes different. I guess it was not their cup of tea. But you should try it. You might like it. American food can be unhealthy. Most cambodian women in cambodia are skinny. There's not alot of fast food out there. Skinny and sexy lol
