I like the continuity here(even if accidental) where Earth is still the best place to get food. It's not just Beerus and Whis being picky, it's Goku too. The amount of dead chefs from many different planets including earth over thousands of years in Other World and yet present Earth is still the best.

To be fair, only the heroes get to keep bodies.... so most of the chefs don't.... So they are either in Heaven or Hell.... and there would be no cooking in either.... And many warriors are aesthetic... as in, they care for the art of battle more than the taste of food.... So the afterlife being the worst place to get good food makes sense.... And Saiyans at this point in time were a naturally evil race (the idea of good saiyans only existed during the Super era).... meaning, Goku is the only one..... So most warriors probably didn't even need to eat once dead....
