Buffets have very short shelf lives. It is super hard to keep up the quality cooking that much food (both quantity and variety) every day. After about 1-2 years, most buffets take a steep decline unless management and staff is on point.

Dilly McPickles only place I’ve been where, if you spend the money, where they’re on point are buffets in Vegas. You can get some great meals in the higher end spots (I mean $35 vs the $12.99 jons on the east coast). But that’s just my experience and you make good points
