The restaurant is at fault for telling him their latest time to reserve a reservation and not being able to accommodate. Party of 11 or not, it could’ve have been 3 parties of 4 that called and had the same reservation

@@marksman24444 depends on the party size. If a 1 or 2 person party you can probably do about 30 mins to 1 hr before closing so long as they're not too demanding or picky. But adding more people you may wanna add another 10-15 mins per person up to about 2-3 hours prior especially since a party that size tends to talk alot more than just dine in and dash. Anytime my family dines in a group of 6 or more we never do dinner past 8pm or 3 hours prior to a place closing down. We try to avoid dinner since we got family members who do work as cooks waiters etc. Food industry. They know how bad it can get and wanna spread respect by not being "those" late diners.

The restaurant staff knew exactly how many people were coming and when they would arrive when they booked that reservation. They literally knew multiple days in advance. It's not like the customers just showed up and surprised them. If they couldn't handle it without rushing them they should have warned the customer before he made the reservation or even told him they don't make reservations after a certain time.

Just a little fun fact, if you come to a resturaunt half an hour before they close, don't expect good service. It's just not gonna happen, even if it is their job. Also, most of these people that come in right before close linger, way past closing time and get mad because they were "rushed" lol.

Lunch service is usually slow in a lot of restaurants, so during dinner service you can get a better feel of how they operate when theyre under a little pressure

Hey Daym! I am glad you had a more than positive experience at this "worst" Italian restaurant. I have to say though, I have had a 5start dining experience as well as a 1star experience at the same restaurant!!! It was in fact an Italian place as well!!! I dined there with a friend and it was so amazing it dang near made my tongue slap my eyeballs out! I was sooo hyped I told several friends... we ended up going there as a small group. Long story short, I had to go outside and look at the entrance to make sure I was in the right place!!! I do realize that one of the big things that can affect food is having a different chef and this could not have been the same chef! This is also one reason I would prefer consistent mediocrity over inconsistent perfection!!! There is nothing worse than having to tell your friends, "But I swear, I was hear just the other night and it was amazing!!! I am so sorry about this, don't worry guys, give me the check... my apologies!"

My restaurant closes at 11pm too and kitchen is closed at 10pm. The extra hour after last orders is to finish your food and digest. I wouldn’t have taken that booking unless they came at 9pm max. 11 people on a birthday also means they will bring a cake, play music and dance ect. That’s impossible to do within 1hr 15 mins.

Admittedly, the food was pretty bad....they are still open due to the rooftop and the "extra" decor. And yes, Viron Rondo is worlds better. Also...if a lot of people complained about the service....maybe go during a somewhat busy period instead of what appears to be a dead period
