The Jack Daniels sauce always slapped. That and there potato skins. The dessert also sounds like it’s a sticky toffee, which is a very underrated treat, especially when topped with vanilla ice cream.

We had a few in my area back in the 90s but the franchise owner lost them all, and they all closed in the early 2000s. Fast forward to 2011 and a single TGIF opened in the area so we decided to try it out. It was pretty mediocre so we never returned and within 2 years it was gone.

Last time I went to TGIF I was embarrassed. I was the only one who couldn't afford anything on the menu. 🤦🏾‍♂️ I left bought Arby's and ate it in my car, then went back to the table. People asked if I needed help no thank you. Going to go one day and order what I want off the menu God willing. 🙏🏾💯🙏🏾💯

I've been there once. Save your money trust me you'll regret it. Wife had steak they over cooked it. They made another one that was cooked right but tasted terrible. I bought some type of pasta dish that was way over priced and wasn't that good otherwise I'd remember it more. Next time I'll just give my money to someone else that would make better use of it. Or just go to Arby's like you did. That's the smarter thing to do.

I took my daughter there in Newington 11 years ago. food and server were nice, but mt waitress took my credit card and copied it and a few days later $1400.00 was charged at a pawn shop . never let my card go out of my sight again

It's been my experience that the majority of TGI Friday's business is the dinner hour and later. But admittedly, I haven't been to a TGI Friday's in years. Their food was always good tho, and the service okay, nothing really special. I think we only have one left in my area of Phoenix, AZ. There used to be one at Chase Field, our ballpark, but that's apparently permanently closed. I think Red Robin has basically taken their business.

There’s absolutely no TGI Friday’s in the state of Arizona now since they closed the one at Chase Stadium. I just googled it to see where the closest one is and got Nevada and California and I live just a couple miles from Sky Harbor airport so it’s not like I’m in the outskirts of the state either.

I was one of the electricians that helped build that place that was a good while back probably 10-15 years ago their mozzarella sticks always slap though.. I grew up in East Hartford and I used to live in Newington. I worked at Outback on the turnpike. Moved to Florida 3 years ago. I’ve been to that fridays a few times and I didn’t have an issue.

I've worked in restaurants for my entire adult life. One of my first managers told me something I never forgot - You can go somewhere with the best food on the planet, but if the service sucks, you won't go back. On the other hand, you can go to a place with mediocre food, but if the service is fantastic every time, you will keep coming back. The service matters more than how good the food is. On the other other hand, it's always important to know that there could always be shit going on behind the scenes that you don't know about as a customer. One of the cooks called in sick so the manager had to jump on dishwashing duty, one server is covering 2 sections (one of which you can't see), the chef's kid got in trouble at school and his baby mama is at work, the internet is down, the walk-in broke over night and it takes 36 hours to bring it down to temp again - whatever the case is, restaurants don't generally run with excess labor. It's a house of cards. So when you see a place and go "I don't know why the service is so slow, it's not even busy," chances are they're running with a skeleton crew and you're there while they're still doing prep. There are terrible servers out there. Lord knows I've worked with a few. But the majority of the time, if your service sucks, it's probably because of something that is out of their control and the place is burning down, they just don't tell you.

TGI Friday's is subpar in general. Years ago I remember ordering a piece of chocolate cake. When they brought it, it was the thinnest and somewhat expensive cakes I've had ever eaten. There food portion was lacking as well. That was years ago. I don't know now.

I haven't been to a TGI Fridays anywhere but an airport in many years. Choices are limited at a lot of airports, so you take what you can get. The last time I went to a stand-alone TGI Fridays, it was nearly empty. I ate at the bar, and the service was good. The food, however, was mediocre. Same as the airport locations (but less expensive than airport prices).

Hey Dayem imma huge fan and just wanted to shoot out a suggestion for you to go try. When I was back at home(which btw is CT) my father and I made a huge discovery of a place called the Pig Rig down in Wallingford. The place is small and in pretty much a corner but man is it great. The style of food is BBQ and honestly it's easily in my top 5. Everything is so fresh and juicy and the sauces they have are all homemade is amazing. Not to long before I left home I decided to bring the boys with me and give them a try. Everyone of them fell in love and started to bring their parents with them and still going with each other when I'm not home. Hopefully you get to read this and maybe one day try it out. Love the content man and keep up the great work you've come so darn far since I started watching at like 100k

Yo daym i wish that $40 really did go to the waitress but when you leave a tip on the recipe, it goes to all staff at the end of the shift. The restaurant also gets a percentage of that tip as well. Best to use cash for tips fam.

You should try peri peri chicken -- it's a style of seasoning they put on chicken in Mozambique. Very spicy, but you can get it mild. Mega popular in the UK

Went to Olympia diner last night on Berlin TPKE, and after, my wife and I drove by there, on the way home, and the place was packed. I did have a not-so-nice experience there years ago, where I brought in a coupon for half-priced ribs, they said that because there were an individually owned TGIF, they would not honor that coupon. I was taken back and haven't been back since. But seeing this review, the best time to go looks like lunchtime, and I might just pop on in.

Only reason TGI Friday is losing business. Is lack of service. There's is a lot of reviews on Yelp about the the service. Some people have to wait for 25 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was half empty. Instead of helping the customer. The manager just stood there talking to the waitresses. If I have to wait 25 minutes for a table. Especially if they're not busy. I would never go to that restaurant. I want to be seated right away. That's in Memphis.
