Eating at TooJay's NY-Style Deli at The Villages, FL | Places to Eat in Lake Sumter at The Villages

In today's video, we had a suggestion to try TooJay's Deli located in Lake Sumter Landing at The Villages, Florida. TooJay's has a lot of locations and they claim to be Florida's favorite NY-style deli. It is a deli, bakery, and restaurant. It was our first time here so we were excited! The location is off of Canal St, right across from Sonny's BBQ. The restaurant is unique. It has a bar and deli, and you walk past that to get seated. The menu is massive! We were told that we have to try the patty melt. There are actually two patty melts: The Patty Melt and Patty Melt. One is more on a burger bun and the other one is like on a grilled cheese. We went for the grilled cheese one and it was on RYE BREAD instead of SOURDOUGH that we had mentioned in the video. this thing was massive! It was very large, we could have easily shared. Tember got the chopped sirloin which was also massive and could have been shared. They also had a ton of desserts and we wanted to try them all but were very full so we tried the Tollhouse Square, which was good. Next time we have to try the cheesecake! Overall, if you are looking for a New York-style deli/New York-style theming, give TooJay's a try, and remember to share!

You two young (there's a derogatory term for you two), often given by envious elders. You're starting to hit some of my favorite locations and restaurants and I'm not at my Family's place in The Villages. In fact you're giving me Villagesitus. That being said, this was another nice video. I've dined at TooJay's Sumter Landing many times since 2006 or so.. Here's my current list of favorite current restaurants in the Villages that I enjoyed 2021 - 2022. In no particular order. Taki's (north of Spanish Springs) I love their Italian Combo submarine, homemade onion rings, with a small Greek Salad Oakwood Express (Wildwood) Mon-Thur a full rack of ribs with 2 sides was on special for 14.99.. Oakwood in Lady Lake.... The Oakwood Chicken dinner... yum.. Best BBQ sauce! I often buy some BBQ sauce bottles and bring them home to Ohio. Sakura, Japanese restaurant just south of Spanish Springs. Just darn good and fun. Giovanni's at Southern Trace. Roberto's brother. The Honey Baked Ham Company is a small but crazy good spot for a sandwich and soup at lunch time. Also start hitting some of the Country Clubs at the Villages.. They are open to the public.

At Lake Sumter, Toojays and Flying Biscuit are my go to places for breakfast and lunch. If you’re ever in the mood for Italian, try Rodellos in Leesburg and get the salmon or lamb chop plates.👍

If you like BBQ then try Oakwood in either Wildwood or Lady Lake. Mon-Thur a full rack of ribs with two sides was $14.99 the last time I was there in March. P.S. if at the Lady Lake location get the Oakwood Chicken..

Hi Altem! I love TooJay's because they feature a lot of foods that I grew up on...corned beef and pastrami, knishes, stuffed cabbage, and latkes (potato pancakes). Next time, I highly recommend their "mini" potato pancakes. Get them with sour cream and applesauce. Then, do try any of the rugalach. My favorites are the chocolate, cinnamon, and raspberry. A good rugalach blends cream cheese into the dough. It's then rolled together with the aforementioned fillings. The ones at TooJay's are very good! Take home a few on the way out next time. Just went to Toojays Brownwood. What a fun lunch crew they have. And I had the best Stinkin Burger. It was the build your own burger with Swiss cheese lettuce and rounalade sauce. Done medium. It was perfect. Surprising as it is not a burger joint persay. And the price was $12.59 as opposed to a not so good burger I had at Fenney Grill for $14.59 Also told waitress about your channel.

That place looks bomb-ass , I must go there ( more then once)...love the slower menu shots..I freeze frame ,and read the menus...this is all way north of me ( Charlotte Hrb.)...Alot of cool places , down in these parts... On the water...your inland...
