It's great. A rare treat for us but when we process a Steer we have them for breakfast in the winter on thick cut homemade bread with a bit of butter and a couple poached eggs. Central Texas has mild winters but I often climb up really high on different kinds of structures to weld. Nothing to block the cold wet wind and that equals a lot more calories burned. Summer I hardly eat but always thirsty. It's never "Goldielocks" perfect weather here. 😂🤣 "Only fools and foreigners try predicting Texas weather"

I tried beef bone marrow the first time a year ago at a beer club. They served us a boiling pot with 4 huge, arm-sized bones sticking up, with 4 plastic straws on the side. The whole section of marrow inside was chunky like tofu or jelly, and was absolutely divine. 100% must try. You'll get addicted.

I had to do this for 3 months for training. He does explain very well yes. I I would never use a spindle bigger then my thumb because it's more surface area being displaced evenly, which means you have to have more Force the bigger spindle you have. The smaller the spindle the less downward Force he need. He is right though if it's small you have less uses of it. But I carry bags of spindles while training, when hiking you look for anything you could use while on the move.

But that's how we build an ever lasting society, we no longer need the caveman survival type people, although you can be one if you'd like, you'll not be contributing to society, and society in my eyes is the greatest achievement of mankind. We have an everlasting culture and almost everyone on earth contributes to that same society in some way shape or form, making it even stronger. Life in society isn't automatically monotonous, you just have to earn enough of this thing called currency and you can do whatever you want in life that other people make for you.

I surf through these type videos frequently, and this stands out as uniquely useful and informative. Thank you for taking your time and explaining the reasons for each decision, and likely mistakes someone might make. Perfect example is not skipping over the notch to catch embers, often I hear " and then of course make your notch" and they continue right on. If you can't understand why you're doing something, and how it works, memorizing it won't help when you need the skill.

Also, I fell people like you are the ones truly in tune with nature, not the hippies with their chakras and meditations, people like you are truly in tune, so I say you should be proud of that! Just remember!
@christina98286 жыл бұрын
I think he is truly in tune with nature physically. Meditating is good for you, it helps you be in tune with yourself and nature spiritually.
@StoicVeR6 жыл бұрын
hippies give naturalists a bad name. People think 'being one with nature' is taking a stroll in the jolly woods, smelling the flowers, going zen. The reality is survival, knowing how to survive, and knowing your limits. Otherwise, you're another hiker on the news - you're missing or they found your bones after five years of missing.
@christina98286 жыл бұрын
I really do think it's good either way if we're talking about nature. Yes it's good to know how to survive out in the woods but it's also good to raise awareness of nature and animals and how we should be helping the planet.
@sourceascension88296 жыл бұрын
There's an inner and outer "being in tune" with nature. This video is the outer reality, which is amazing, and must be learnt for survival. The inner reality is charkras and meditations. It's all about balance, if you are too outwardly - (if that made sense) - then you'll be a brute, or if you're too inwardly then you'll be this "hippie" that you're referring to. Perspective. :)

So 5000+ years history of eating grains and now.. Suddenly everyone's averse to grains
@96mtbrider6 жыл бұрын
As opposed to millions of years of not eating grains...We dont have the gut to synthesize amino acids like the grazing animals, dont have the cecum like the gorilla to eat plants all day .We do have the larger small intestine to synthesize amino acids from meats though... When grains are first domesticated we see the rise of dental decay that persists to this day. We have increased cortisol levels and stress on the guts from our gross over consumption. Increased diabetic response, look at the success of a ketosis based diet on treating type one and two diabetes. Dramatic increase in diabetes diagnosis since the flawed food pyramid created by the ag agency (as opposed to people who actually have dietary expertise like the FDA...) Go keep buying your enriched white breads and corn nuts ;)

Hey man, excellent video. I learned a bunch not just on extracting bone marrow but also the materials used to create a friction fire. Thank you! You’re much more knowledgable than I am, however I would be remiss by not asking you to please never use an axe in between your legs like that. They call it the “triangle of death” because if that blade slips, its only a few inches from your femoral artery.
