I wanted to do a little video about my recent experience in hospital, and mainly the changes I faced in my body with Edema. Edema is swelling caused by excess fluid trapped in your body's tissues. I was severely de-hydrated, malnourished and weak due to the milk alkali syndrome combined with Covid and had to be pumped through with 18 litres of water/saline and also had to be put on a drip to restore my potassium levels. It was vital the hospital helped get my kidneys working again and by doing so my body felt like it blew up overnight. This brought back a lot of memories of facing this when I had an eating disorder. I wanted to share how I dealt with this now I am not in the grips of an eating disorder in the hope that my experience will help anyone who is on their journey to recovery.
The body can be a miracle worker and will fight for you, remember these changes are temporary and will pass.
I really hope this helps. Trust the process, remember your evidence pot and know you are not alone. we at www.seed.charity are here if you need us.
