I’m sorry you went through all that trouble to go to the Heptapyrgion. Since you walked all the way to the upper city you could’ve taken a walk by the Byzantine walls of the city. There’s a tower, identical to the White tower, where you can relax and get some pretty cool views of the city. Apart from the ancient ruins Thessaloniki has a lot of Byzantine as well as Ottoman monuments. It was the second largest and most important cultural center of the Byzantine Empire after Constantinople. Their archaeological and Byzantine museums are a must, if you are into history. I’m glad you enjoyed the food there. Thessaloniki is considered the culinary capital of Greece and the nightlife is pretty vibrant too. I hope you enjoyed your stay! If you ever feel like it, we’d love to see you in Thessaloniki again!❤️

The Paleo-Christian and Byzantine monuments of Thessaloniki are on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. Thessaloniki also has a vibrant Jewish history. @specialtech39924 жыл бұрын
@Bill O'Coy I’m deeply afraid that I have to inform you about something here. We won’t ask you, or any other random person of what we are gonna do to our own cities such as Thessaloniki. You don’t like it? Totally none of our concern. We name it however we want, and that is nobody’s business but the Greeks.
@specialtech39924 жыл бұрын
@Bill O'Coy Oh, now I got it. You are just facing a serious complex with Greece and now you are trying to underestimate the country by all necessary means. Jumping from one topic to another. Well, Greece is not bankrupt anymore, and from what the numbers are showing at least, we are doing good. Being ranked as the 28th wealthiest country in the world and hosting cities and regions richer enough than entire other countries, is something to look at. Also, being ranked as the 30th most developed nation in the world is something that we should also mention. It’s fine being triggered with a country probably because you faced huge defeats by them in the past, but at least be realistic with your accusations, and not propagandistic.
@specialtech39924 жыл бұрын
@Bill O'Coy The total debt of a country is not defining the status of the economy on whether it’s poor or rich. What defines these sort of things is the GDP and National Wealth. And so apparently for your information the Greek GDP and National Wealth compared to the total country’s population are both very good. Where did I found this rank, you’ve asked. Your answer is: Credit Suisse Research Institute, global wealth databook. You have any clue of why we’ve been ranked as the 28th wealthiest? Because we have a national wealth of over 1 Trillion Dollars, meaning that our total wealth is bigger than the one of Lithuania, Slovenia, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Romania as you’ve previously mentioned. Croatia has a smaller economy than most of regions and cities in Greece like all of the rest Balkan countries do, yet you think you can compare Croatia with us. I’m going to read you now of what Wikipedia’s articles say about Greece for these subjects: “Greece is a developed country with an advanced *high-income* economy, a *high quality of life* and a very *high standard of living* “ I’m moving to the next chapter on which we are interested about: It is also the *largest economy* in the *Balkans* where it is an *important* regional investor.” Just because you previously got triggered like a little child about Thessaloniki doesn’t gives you the right to spread propaganda. I suggest you forget about this city, since it’s ours and your say is no important for it.

The ship that can be seen at 8:47 is a floating museum of Greek anti-dictatorial straggle (1967-1974); Thessaloniki has no naval base. It is the 1991 decommissioned Hellenic Navy ship "VELOS II D-16" ex "USS CHARETTE DD-581" WWII "Flecher" class destroyer. Entrance fee is 1 Euro. Hi Alina! Very well done video! Great Music again! - so “upbeat”! The food looks marvelous, and the waterfront areas so freshly painted and attractive. Love that Greece treasures its heritage by keeping ruins available - after all, they are sort of known as a seat of modern civilization, and thought - at least their language is a foundational basis for many other languages, and scientific /medical terms. Good thing I don’t have “agoraphobia” (fear of being in public). Just a little tongue-in-cheek advice (to a very independent and capable young lady): When you’re drunk, don’t accept rides from strangers, AND be sure to subscribe to the “scooter collision” insurance, LOL 😂. Hope you don’t mind my kidding, sort of. With all of the food, the alcohol’s effect is lessened, 😉. As alway, much love and respect, dear soul! ❤️. Keep making these wonderful videos. @MACEDONIA KICEVO Are you talking about a language that was first decoded in 1952? That is mutually inteligible to a number of Bulgarian dialects? A country with no identity which tries to grab attention from around? So mate, before assuming that you belong to the exquisite group of people who were Alexander the greats' ancestors, please consult history and its parameters and make sure you got the message. Spreading false information is the trend that almost everyone who got access to the Internet can actually do. I understand that your country needs to find its identity but please don't be Tito's puppet. I'm sure you can be a lot more than that. 🤞
