I must say that nowadays Hainanese chicken rice taste mild. Ok tender but chicken meat taste is different, mild? Where I ate today, the soup is salty and I ended up feeling thirsty! Weird that chilli sauce taste bitter?

Zermatt, I saw your night market in Taiwan? I am curious how come you never drink payapa milk or stinky toufu. Didn't you go there as part of national service as part of your active unit. I think almost everyone of my batch has gone to Kaosiong or Taipei or the other if you are in active units. Was back in Singapore in June but didn't go to Gastro. Maybe next year.
