Normally in a thali you get vegetables which is called poriyal in Tamil along with kuttu (more thicker gravy made of vegetables n dhal) and rasam(watery tamarind flavour soup) along with sambar, rice, papad n curd(thayir). I suppose you also ate Kara kozhambu (spicier curry) Some hotels give you 2 poriyal. I hope you enjoyed eating it.
