I was there 2008. Traveling from Armenia, to Georgia, then Turkey, on our way back we spent 4 weeks driving and camping all over in Iran, not a single problem we encountered. Great culture, great people, great food.We also do some similar dishes, we call Xash, in Iran Kelle pachei. Xash in Armenian means to boil.

@@minikus6703 I had a great time in Turkey, in many ways like Iran. But to compare who is more clever, that would be difficult, i all both nations I enjoyed, in Turkey I fetl like I was going back to my ancestral lands, my roots are from Sasun region, now called Batman province in Turkey.

Это называется пити. Его можно приготовить и в эмалированной кастрюле или в кастрюле из нержавейки. В горшочках делают потому, что так удобней рассчитать порции - 1 горшочек одна порция.

Это вариант восточного первого блюда - пити. В Азербайджане его готовят так же, только без помидор и томатной пасты. Лук не перемалывают, а в каждый горшочек кладут половинку маленькой луковицы. Под конец готовки добавляют кислую сушёную алычу - несколько штучек на горшочек и сары-кек, то есть молотый жёлтый имбирь. Едят пити, посыпав сушёной перечной мятой прямо в горшочек. Когда подают горшочек на стол, то сразу дают и большую пиалу. Человек переливает сначала жидкость в пиалу, добавляет поломанный небольшими кусочками хлеб и ест. Когда жидкость съест, высыпает в пиалу нохуд с мясом, картошкой и алычой. Таким образом, получается два блюда - первое и второе. Вещь и правда очень вкусная и ароматная. А в некоторых районах Азербайджана в пити вместо картошки кладут нарезанную крупными ломтиками свежую айву Тогда аромат пити становится восхитительным, а само пити приобретает необычный, но очень приятный вкус Но и иранский вариант неплохой. Хотя, на мой вкус, пити по азербайджански лучше. Впрочем, на вкус и цвет торчащей нет. И да, иранское или азербайджанское пити вполне можно сделать и дома, в кастрюле- нержавейке. А горшочки это порционное..

Это не ресторан. Это национальная харчевня с домашними блюдами для иранских мужиков которым надо поесть и идти на работу. Подача блюд не изысканная, но для такого формата заведения думаю это неважно. Цена блюд на мой взгляд должна быть невысока.

When I was in Iran, I ate it after seeing the Tomb of Cyrus, Pasargadae. There was a small shop run by Laila khala near the entrance to Tomb of Cyrus, I liked Dizi. In Azerbaijan, in Sheki they have a very similar dish called Piti. When eating Piti in Sheki, it reminded me of Abgoosht.
