Phuktal Monastery is one of the only Buddhist monasteries in Nothern India that is still only reachable by foot.
Groceries are delivered by horses and donkeys in the warmer months. In winter, they have to be transported through the frozen Zanskar River.
So how do nuns eat in one of the most remote Buddhist monastery? With just some flour and a small fire, they are able to make delicious bread and tea.
Watch their impressive cooking skills!
Documentary: “Becoming woman in Zanskar”
Direction: Jean Michel Corillion

Yes, almost all of East Asia adopted Buddhism from Tibetans who in turn got it from Indians. Mongols, Koreans, Japanese, Chinese and the Siberians as well like Tuvans and Buryats, all Buddhists and/or historically Buddhists.

@@caspar9794 Are you saying this because of your own experience or because you have been told so? It is a widespread misconception to think of Buddhism as a philosophy. It is indeed a religion, as it reveals a reality which is not accessible to the rational human mind. No intellect-based philosophy can ever lead to enlightenment.

BUDDHISM is neither a religion nor a philosophy, put simply it's what the JERRY SEINFELD EPISODES are about "NOTHING" e=mc, yea? "EVERY WISH FULFILLED" E.T.
