You all know how much I love Indian food so I put my knowledge to the test and went to a restaurant in NYC with my neighbor and friend, Hibah. We had so much fun eating all the delicious food! We also taught you a lot about Indian food and I even practiced my Hindi on camera!

We even prepare gulab jamun curry. It may sound odd but it's true. Instead of soaking them in sugar syrup, we prepare a curry from those deep fried balls . It's pretty delicious tbh !

Saag is actually the dish made of mashed greens. It can be palak (spinach), sarson (mustard) methi (fenugreek) etc.

Well spinach in Hindi is paalak and saag is a different green leafy veggie. Love the video. If my mom saw me put my roti or naan on the table and not on my plate she'll yell at me right there 😂😂😂 and your Hindi is good 😄😄 I dip my dosa in the coconut chutney or the other sorta orange tomato chutney usually. I love to eat sambhar on its own... I love that spice hitting me in the throat 😁 and I am eating Gulab jamun while watching this... Talk about coincidences 😂😂 and yeah there is saffron in the syrup 😊

@@eitanyeah Well saag is different from paalak and there are many different types of saag. You'll love them all. 😄 I love gulabjamun. Although you need to try even more Indian desserts. My absolute favourite is sonpapdi, rasmalai and faluda kulfi. You'll love the food when you visit 😄

A wonderfully heartwarming and wholesome video! So real! I love how your personality comes through! Love your passion for everything to do with food and cooking. Next time consider ordering a 'dahi vada' or a 'raita' to compliment the spiciness of the food. It plays the same role as you described for the mango lassi, but since it is savoury, it goes well with the rest of the meal. Love your Hindi! You pronounced it well! Compliments to you and your Hindi teacher! :). Also, besides 'paalak paneer' you may want to try 'chaaman paneer'. It's an incredibly delicate version of 'paalak paneer' made of fenugreek (methi) leaves and paneer. It's the sophisticated cousin of the rustic paalak paneer. It originally came from Kashmir, where most flavours are more delicate. Worth exploring.

Bro its v simple Naan (basically all purpose flour roti) dipped in gravy vegetable that has to be eaten first and once u’re done then eat Dal+rice mix You wanna try something even more best? Add the vegetable gravy to your dal rice And eat that marvellous bite Ppl also mix w classic indian pickle mix it all together tastes bomb👌🥵

Awesome Eitan! Just on the Hindi, Saag isn’t spinach but rather the way it’s prepped like the term “curry” can happen so many ways, so can a saag. My mom, for instance, makes a radish saag among others. The term for spinach is Palak. :) Also, love your videos! Keep doing what you’re doing.
