As a British Asian who has experienced both Mumbai & Karachi, Mumbai is India's crown jewel, and has a vast range of cuisines. But Karachi is a far cleaner city, and although it has a smaller range of cuisine, the food quality beats Mumbai hands down. Its food is a combination of South Asian, Central Asian and Middle Eastern. Mumbai offers the full range of Indian regional cuisines with Gujarati, Hyderabadi & South Indian food as its highlights and booze is not forbidden. Meat cookery, especially barbecue is Karachi's strong point and vegetarian food is Mumbai's forte.

Pakistanis have always had heavy focus on meat in food because they're Muslims and love kebabs and the like. Indian Hindus are vegetarians so have a vegetarian focus

@User 1234 as south Indian jain many south Indians eat meat and beef but most eat it only three times a week and in the Tamil month of puratasi,it is a sin for many to eat meat,if someone does so they take em to the mandir and get holy water sprinkled on em,but within those restrictions,They enjoy the mutton and chicken

@User 1234 In the subcontinent the food habits are so, other nations Hindus have different food habits,afghan hindus,especially Kandahar,Helmand and nimruz,I heard,have a mutton obsession,Fijian Hindus eat lots of seafood,Ghanaian Hindus love eating what many consider unusual stuff,Russian Hindus like vegetables and some meat the the side,I dunno much about the other Hindus

Pakistan has the best food scene on the planet. They have got the meats, from seafood to exotic game. And the masalas perfected during the Mughal era with unlimited resources and will to produce the most amazing dishes. It's a truly international city though you can find ANY type of cuisine in Karachi as long as you know where to look. Plus it's the city of lights that never sleeps which means you can get these delivered at 4 AM in the morning. Pretty hard to beat.

You can find Delhi Wali biryani, Qorma, sheermal, taftan, Hyderabadi achar, mirchi ka Salan, qubaani ka meetha, baingan, Mysore Pak, Bengali sweets, Parsi dhansak, Goan seafood, Gujarati nimco like sev gathia, even dhokla . To name a few .
