Tacos were $1 a piece in Houston Texas.....i lived 10 minutes from work and passed 12 taco trucks on the way.....i ate 10 tacos a day for over a year straight , then got a job in Des Moines and it all came crashing down.

$3.50 is the average rate for authentic Mexican tacos in the NYC/CT areas. If they cost more, a gringo is probably making it for you. It IS sus that they put rice in a taco. I’ve literally never seen that. Filler in a burrito? Sure. Filler in a taco? GTFO! Al Pastor w/pina, ordered without an accent, is the measuring stick for me at every taco joint I visit.

totally a million miles from you guys but heh love to mention Amigos Cantina, Saskatoon. My go to is the Santa Fe Burrito - marinated ranch-cut steak carnitas, sauteed peppers, onions and fire roasted salsa in a grilled tortilla with ancho sauce, Mexican rice and black beans.....baked man with cheese on top! Covered in jalapeno cream, salsa fresca and guac ....... dude!! Legit legit legit!! Maybe they will deliver haha.

That seems a bit high for taco prices. They do seem to pack them pretty full, but that is the first, time I've seen rice on a taco. I don't think I've had refried beans on a taco either. I did get a burrito one time at their previous location and thought it was pretty good. They've established a good reputation and that is what you're paying for. Are you getting something better than most Mexican places in Chicago? Not really. Chicago has no shortage of really good Mexican places. Go into any authentic Mexican grocery store in Chicago and I am sure you can get great but predictable Mexican fare. Something I tried recently were birria tacos, and those are money. One place in Rockford makes some awesome barbacoa burritos. I find I can't order anything else when I go there. If I can recommend one place for you to try, Taqueria Traspasada 2 on Ashland near Chicago Ave. would be it. Nice video gentlemen. I love the local ones the best, but I know the chain places probably get more views around the country. Keep up the good work. And try a Phase Three or Hop Butcher of the World IPA. Both are great local breweries.

I live in Florida. I feel that Hungry Howie's is one of the better, cheaper pizza chains here. Better than Pizza Hut, Domino's and Papa John's. Not quite up to Jet's Pizza level, but they do tend to be a bit more pricey.

Gotta say corn tortillas don’t do it for me. They normally end up tasting and feeling like a wet sponge. When I can I opt for the flour tortillas.

When they're good quality, corn tortillas grilled really accentuate the flavors. But definitely agree that they can be done poorly. Flour are always great!

In Memphis when you spend $3.67 for a taco we call those boujee white people tacos. We have SO MANY authentic Central and South American restaurants here that you can get a more than decent taco for a buck. Two bucks if its tacos al lengua.

I hate l patron personally.. to much fake Smokey flavor. The meat isn’t chopped up small enough.. Just my opinion. I prefer this place called “taconazo jr” amazing tacos. Authentic. Awesome pastor tacos..
