I looked up a $1,700 sq ft. home in the Pacific Palisades, CA area that sold for 6 million, and the yearly property taxes were around 40K per year in 2023 and the taxes went up to $65,000 per year after it sold in 2024. It’s the cat chasing its tail. There’s no water because of DEI managers. We had a big wild fire situation in our community, and because we had a competent white guy running the show at the water district, he kept the water flowing and overcame many obstacles that would have interrupted the water flow. It really does take a competent manager. Out there on the front lines, that’s where he was. I was a Director at the water district, I saw it happen. I did not evacuate the community like almost everyone else that left, and I witnessed the whole thing.

Florida does controlled burns. We don't have these raging wildfires that California has and there is plenty of brush, dry grass and forested lands to go up in flames, but they burn it off. I can't believe that California doesn't have a controlled burn program to avoid these raging fires that they have all the time. It's crazy! I wouldn't live in a place like California, with all the forested areas they have, that does not have a burn control program. That's just crazy!!
