Hồi xưa, vô tình ghé quán này mua mì sủi cảo cho ông ngoại mình ăn và ông mình ăn qua rất thích hương vị mì ở đây. Sau này mỗi khi tiện đường mình thường ghé mua về cho ông ăn. Từ khi ông mất, mình cũng quên bẵng đi quán này. Cảm ơn video của Max đã giúp mình nhớ lại những kỷ niệm đẹp đẽ ngày xưa.

@uszatku9417 yes he's good enough to get by n locals can understand some but as u can see in most of his videos they don't know what he saying n ask whoever Max is with, like Chris or Bao what Max just said. If Max thinks he speaks fluently n doesn't need to improve then he will stay stuck at where he's at, and that's why I mention he can improve. If u think he's good enough n doesn't need to improve then thats ur opinion n u don't want to hurt his feelings then, whatever but I'm just stating how I see it n what I say is the truth even if it hurts ur weak, ass kissing feelings lol 😆 🤪

Max, this place truly a national treasure, I grew up in Saigon and noodle carts like this came out on the streets of central Saigon at night (before 75’) and the taste was so uniquely Chinese-Vietnamese noodles that there is no way on earth that you can find this taste anywhere but Chợ Lớn, VN. I hope you know that I will dream of eating this every night from this day on, this is how much I love this noodle bowl! ❤

Traditional wonton noodles are made and beaten with a long bamboo stick to increase the gluten (chewiness) of the noodle. With that said, even in HK today, it is a lost art as it's made with machines. So I am not surprised that he uses a machine to make it in Vietnam. The wonton noodle served here differs significantly from the Guangdong version, though. The toppings are completely different.

Điều thú vị nhứt là khi đến kéo ghế ngồi chờ nấu mì , rồi nhìn họ trụng mì , và nghe mùi thơm cuả xuơng heo , tôm khô và mực nướng xông lên từ thùng nước lèo , là một điều mà ai ăn mì xe cũng thích : thích nhìn , thích ngắm , thích ăn . Wow! This place reminded me of my mom. She used to take my sisters and I to go to Cho Lon for this noodle. The way they make noodles is exactly the same way many yearssss ago. The chewy of the noodles is so different because they use duck eggs (thanks to Max) because I didn’t know that! The look of the shop is still the same. For sure I will come there next time I’m in VN. I love a good bowl of egg noodle soups, quanzhou, Hong Kong, Cantonese styles. I like Taiwanese style noodle too, but prefer the thin egg noodles when done right.😋😋 yum!

Max! Satay 沙茶醬 is from TeoZhou Canton China, but popular in Singapore & Malaysia, make with Dry shrimp, dry scalloped and cashew nut and some spicies ingredients. But this stir fry hot chili oil sauce, Vietnamese like to all call ỚT SA TẾ, different then Satay Sauce, more like simple version for hot chili sauce.

Salut Max, bravo pour tes vidéos, t'assures bien en vietnamien maintenant, ça nous change de tous ces vidéos de touristes de passage ou expats mais aucunement intéressé par la culture vietnamienne ... la langue, la nourriture ... d'ailleurs je remarque que les endroits ou tu vas manger, il n y a jamais aucun occidental 😂ça veut tout dire. Bon si tu veux des cours de français n'hésites pas, quand écrire en vietnamien c'est pas aussi simple pour moi qu'en français. Bon on se capte sur Sài Gòn je risque d'y faire un tour prochainement.
