That whole encounter in the restaurant filled me with such happy vibes. In Canada we're also friendly but when it comes to strangers we are very reserved and keep to ourselves - so you don't really have encounters like this in public with people you don't know. This is so amazing and makes me smile - I would kill for an encounter like this :)

This, and most of your videos are just so wonderfully wholesome. You showing so many beautiful interactions with strangers of different cultures restores my hope for humanity a little bit every time. I truly cherish this in these troubled times of war, repression, polarisation and distrust. We have to remember that most people all around the world are good at heart. We are all in this together, and we must not let ourselves slip into an "us and them" mentality. Peace and love from Norway! 🕊❤

He likely discovered one of the ultimate ultimate secrets ways to learning languages the fastest for some Americans thats often not shared with most outsiders. There's like 5 different techniques that some guy told me helped them the most and at least 2 of the five requires the assistance of a native speaker thats either violent or beautiful. So far, I've only tried 2 out of the 5 that I've heard about, and I'm not really sure if its worked very much because I'm not very bright 😂

I was truly hoping to get the point that I could have genuine interactions like these with the locals. Maybe I'll give it another go. I'd love to see you jump onto the bandwagon of KZbinrs traveling to China! With your language abilities, the interactions would be so much more interesting and genuine than the majority of KZbinrs than can't speak Mandarin.

An exceptional linguistic talent with Russian roots expanding influence across the Asian continent. Definitely the best Hanoian accent from a westerner I have come across on YT to date and a joy to watch his public interactions. His fluency in speaking and reading/writing deserves praise, and his chinese and vietnamese is so impressive even the stranger offered to introduce his daughter.😊 There is another influencer of Russian heritage (checkout his viktor talking channel) living in Korea that is equally as impressive in chinese with native northeast accent and Korean so this trend may become the norm some day like Asians in the west.😮

I don't know why, but my Japanese Duolingo courses go by with much less thinking and a lot more understanding and memory when I'm watching another person so skilled with languages. So these videos, especially because you're so nice to people too, are both really entertaining and helpful for me to want to do more Duolingo (I even mute my phone to listen to the video, because my brain is on 99% on reading the Hiragana!.. then Katakana pops up and I crumble a bit) It's a dream of mine to learn languages such as Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Italian, and although Vietnamese is not a language I have much interest for, if I'm already learning 4 languages down the years, I could try pick it up too, it's such an unique language, harsh on my ears, but only in an unusual way, not a bad way :) I wish I could take courses so I could feel I'm "really" learning, and know how to study at home, like getting homework from my teacher. Tasks like that motivate me to get it done. But sadly it's not easy to find places like that here that are not too expensive for me here in Norway, especially close by :(

Just wondering, as it always good to learn what not to do in places.Your and you videos are a great example of the right way to act in other countries, always super respectful, polite and always taking the time to learn some of the local language and customs. I always try to tell people, the more you learn the language (even just the absolute basics) and the customs/history/ect. of the places you visit, the more you'll get out of it and the more you'll enjoy yourself. Not only does the time and effort always pays off in the end, but you are also improving yourself at the same time. It's a win-win!
