Hi, I’m Japanese. I have had the same experience at a convenience store 🫠 Some convenience store items are supposed to be heated at home. The microwave in the convenience store is 1500w, while the microwave at home is 500-800w. The sukiyaki was a product that could not withstand the microwave in the convenience store, so the clerk may have refused it. Sorry for the behavior 😢

What I’ve experienced in Korea and Japan to my surprise, is that some of the employees are just straight up rude to customers. Like maybe the concept of customer service doesn’t exist as much as in the US, idk

0:30 I can help! I’m also learning Japanese and am still a beginner but this might help clarify. “おはようございます” (ohayougozaimasu) is a formal way of saying “Good morning”. When you say “おはよう” (ohayou) by itself, it also means “Good morning” but it’s informal. And in one of the previous videos, you guys asked what does “です” (desu) mean. It simply means “to be”. So, when Evelyn said “おはようです” (ohayoudesu) She might’ve said “It’s morning”. Hope this helps!💗
