I loved the blue theme! I actually used the cabbage water to make pasta when I was babysitting a couple weeks ago because the kiddies requested mermaid food😂 I blended purple potatoes w purple carrots, the cabbage, onions, and nooch for the sauce and the kiddies absolutely loved it. I've been wanting to try blue majik for a while, but I can't find it for less than 50$ a bottle😂A red or pink day would be really fun.

This was such a fun idea! I’m a fibre artist and I dyed all the fabric for a quilt with natural products. I got my blue from a TON of red cabbage and it’s such a pretty blue grey. It’s amazing what the natural world offers!

I live in Thailand and I don't even have to buy those butterfly pea tea lol, it just grows on the ground, even my school has it. I use them fresh, sometimes I just make a drink out of them and add lemon or lime and it turns purple, it's so pretty!

Funny you posted this video, because my Food Science professor just told us in a lecture that there are no naturally occurring blue foods in nature--he considers blueberries as a purple food! Whether they are actually blue or not is up for debate, but I just found that interesting! And I am AMAZED as to how blue and BEAUTIFUL the meals turned out! The butterfly peas, black goji berries, purple potatoes, and blue spirulina all look so cool! Purple potatoes are actually one of the only varieties of regular potatoes that I like to eat (I'm a sweet tater gal!). SO good with cabbage and tofu!

It's sort of true because blue pigment is almost nonexistent and usually is more of a trick of the light. For ex even blue butterflies don't contain blue in their pigments it has to do with the texture.

Really fun video! You are very creative to come out with so many different ideas! The color change in cabagge is due to pH changes with the addition of baking soda, and in some foods it got back to purple because these pH changes as it is an acid base indicator. So in order to know what veggies you could add to your blue liquid without changing the color you could look for an alkaline food chart

You can add red cabbage puree and add it to eggs and it will be blue and citres juice with the cabbage puree to make it purple

the reason that the cabage juice turns blue is because you can use the juice as a reactant to tell if a liquid is an acid or a base, the color spectrum goes from 0 to 14 everything under the number 7(neutral), is a base(shades blue&green) to the other side of the spectrum being acids(orange&red) It is because of the ph scale.Link of picture:
