I've been raw vegan for almost a decade, since my early 20's. Almost 32 now. I was fruitarian for the initial 2 years, and then branched out to more mineral rich vegetables/greens recommended by Dr. Goldner. I just use red cabbage and microgreens as my primary sources of micronutrients, along with fruits like cucumbers, avocado and tomato. I use flax and chia too. I have weird choices compared to other people. I am very open minded to listening to everyone's experiences and it's mind boggling that Eli's solely on fruit till date, without relying much on greens. I keep hearing the prominent school of thought of consuming atleast 0.8-1 g/kg protein of bodyweight (or lean mass??) for maintaining skeletal muscle, and apparently Eli's an outlier?! I would love to hear him talk about his take on this, because he appears to be quite built from what I can see. We need more fitness experts sharing alternative takes as it appears that not all is black and white! The carnivore community confuses the heaven out of me, because apparently, I am doing all the dangerous things. I'd love to go back to 100% fruit if I can get someone to convince me that there's no price to pay in the end for a woman terrified of osteoporosis. Eli's amazing and thank you for having him again Gillian.

Even if an all fruit diet was optimal...I still would want my veggies anyway, I think🤣🤣 My body really craves the savory and more heaviness of the veggies. There's no way I could eat only sweet all day long. But it seems like some people's bodies do love that.

He looks very healthy 🎉 Personally I’m on the Markus Rothkranz train about half fruit and half greens in the diet with raw protien and fats. Short term fruitarian served me for cleansing but longer term even raw till 4 I got tired after a few years. Changed my diet with all sorts of healthy fats and my energy, skin and hair transformed in six weeks. I’m Never doing low fat raw again I think balance is so critical for long term health. To each their own but I’ve never seen a long term fruitarian that has aged well, Eli seems to be the exception not the rule . No fat and no protien doesn’t serve most people well. Genetics and lifestyle absolutely play a role in your physical appearance as well as skin and muscle mass but the goal should be not to subscribe to perfection or a “diet” it should to continue to evolve and each day learn and choose to eat the healthiest most nutrient rich raw foods ❤

@@GillianBerry In no time I was nodding my head and loving what you guys were talking about, right near the start of the vid (specifically about not feeling connected/drawn to certain foods because they don't match who you are). That's exactly my experience more and more these days, to the point where no longer do I feel the need to resist any temptation, because it went from slight temptation/memory of the things I used to do, to a kind of repulsion at the thought of partaking, to simply no emotional draw whatsoever to those heavy foods. I am so light in my being that although I am still consciously aware of those 'heavier' foods (though even that will probably evolve to having zero awareness of their existence), I simply have no desire for them whatsoever anymore. At first I was like "hmm, what's going on here, I mean I can't have zero desire for them anymore, surely I'll always have to be somewhat vigilant in order to remain focused on who I want to be?". But no, no need, because there's just nothing there anymore. So I resonate with this so so much. Best vibes channel out there. Great stuff indeed! Thanks!

There are so many nuggets of truth that really helped me. I particularly was helped by his explanation of why you can't keep repeating a behavior and ever think you will ne able to stop doing it: "...because you constantly reinforce that very precise nervous configuration of neurons that connects that thing to your mind, to your brain, to your gut. Every time you indulge you light it up and tell your body, "Hey, this is what's useful for survival, this is what I need." How did I do it? I understood what I had to do and I said Eli, do it!"

I could only eat 1-2 bananas in the beginning as well. My stomach was used to calorie dense dehydrated foods with smaller volume, therefore it took time for it to adapt. Were you eating the bananas ripe, as in with brown spots? Unripe fruit can create constipation. Also I lost weight in the first year but I gained weight later on. But I am not a fully raw vegan or fruitarian, more like 60-70%

The carnivore diet is highly satiating mainly because protein and fat are very nutrient-dense and filling, not necessarily because they are hard to digest. Here's why: - **Protein**: It has a high thermic effect, meaning your body uses more energy to digest it. Protein also activates hormones like peptide YY and GLP-1, which signal fullness to your brain, making you feel satisfied for longer. - **Fat**: Fat slows down digestion, keeping you full for longer periods of time. It also triggers the release of cholecystokinin (CCK), another hormone that tells your brain you're full. So, it's the combination of high-protein and high-fat foods working with your body's natural hunger cues, rather than just the difficulty in digestion, that makes the carnivore diet so satiating.
@marinavanmens6563Ай бұрын

I eat cooked flesh for the healing and body integrity it gives to my physical body. Mentally I'm fine too. It's the evolved human condition over hundreds of thousands of years. An ongoing abundance of fruit is not the norm, except in specially cultivated situations. And, good luck on success with only or nearly only fruit,… fresh fruit. Dried fruit is a killer, and much more so in an unbalanced diet.

oh goodness no. That's pretty much completely impossible my man. it's the same issue that plagues so many health figures out there, where they don't distinguish between frankensteinian lab synthesized "fructose monsters",. and God given food. please don't let them take your mind.. i beg of you. put it this way my friend. imagine the consequences of your earthly reality were that true. if you accepted this confusingly odd suggestion by whatever goon sold it to you, that would mean that a human being out in the wilderness finding an apple tree, and eating it, would be disastorous for health. (which of course, it does the opposite) It also means all anthropoid apes who share human frugirous design would be wiped out. Apes and monkeys wouldn't exist because they're eating this..."fructose" all day every day (fruits, and vegetables). no my friend, logic would forbid this from being true.. Man-made fractionationed and isolated fructose is what you're thinking of.

@FrancineJ-i1t the articles, research i found did not use whole fruits but rather fructose water which is not the same due to the lack of fiber. So that's not comparing apps to apples. Did you find anything where they used fruit vs fructose water? If so point me in that direction please
