Hi Bill and Lisa! 🙋‍♀️ You guys missed a treat! The Custard Apple! AKA: Cherimoya. Soft custardy interior, with slight vanilla/pineapple/banana flavour, sometimes I taste hints of mixed berry in there too. Kind of hard to find here in SoCal. But I think in your area, Tokyo Central and Sprouts will probably have them. In any case, if you spot them, grab one!

Thanks for your comment. We exchanged some US currency to British Pounds a while ago and just brought what we had, less than $200 USD worth. Everything else we used our credit card (tap & pay) for food, items, subway, etc). We’re no pros on London tips, we’re still learning. lol. There are lots of helpful KZbin videos on London travel tips.

Cherimoya (one type of custard apple, another being sour sop) is one of my favorite fruits. Those at the market did not look like cherimoya, but interesting to see what’s imported for sale there. Love the food tour.

I know I can Google, but what are mushy peas like? Split pea soup? Fresh green peas ground up? Cooked frozen peas that are cooked so long they turn to mush? Are they flavored with anything like butter?

Just tastes like fresh peas mushed up. Kinda like split pea without the soupiness. Maybe just a little salt added.

Mushy peas are a certain type of pea called a Marrow pea,then cooked,some people like to add a little sugar to their peas,and some add mint.
