A bit fyi...traditionally in East Java rawon is not served with lime. Just those tiny beansprouts and sambal. However, adding lime turns out to be quite delicious, so some people like to add it. Also those salted duck eggs on the table are perfect pairing for rawon. You can either peel it off or ask the waiter to slice it in half, then scoop the egg with spoon. Love the channel and your curiosity to try new stuffs ♥️

You should add also salty egg for Rawon .... Yes, it is kind similar with "ice Kacang" but we call it "Ice Campur" mix fruit with jelly ( you should stir it as the sugar at the below) ... for Durian, yah musang king is good but it is expensive, so they use local durian ...

Banyak orang asing membuat kesalahan ketika harus menambahkan sambal atau kecap atau bumbu lain , kebiasaan orang indonesia sebelum menambahkan sambal atau kecap atau bumbu lainnya, sebelumnya dirasakan dulu yang originalnya, kalau dirasakan sidah cukup, maka tidak perlu menambahkan bumbu lain, apabila dirasakan kurang maka tambahkan sambal, kecap atau bumbu lainnya, secara perlahan, tuangkan sedikit lalu rasakan, tambahkan lagi dan rasakan, sampai terasa cocok dilidah. The black soup that you were eating is more than 1000 years old. Rawon was made in 901C during The Majapahit Empire. Back then it was called Rarawan. Yes that soup is ancient.

Banyak kuliner lokal indonesia yang enak. Tapi perlu di pahami beda koki mungkin bisa sedikit beda rasanya ( walaupun secara visual menu sama). Anggap saja 3 x makan menu yang sama, 2x rasa enak dan 1x rasa biasa, intinya secara umum rasa kuliner tersebut memang enak.
