I’m making quesadillas out of them get some lettuce cheese if you want to put some peppers onions get some sauces I recommend ketchup, mayonnaise, and Sriracha. You can make fire quesadillas out of them.

It's a loss leader to lead people inside the store. And bulk economics. For us, although the cooked costco chicken might be 3 lbs cooked, there's weight loss during cooking, often meaning even costco chickens match 5-7 pound raw chickens. At Consumer prices, we pay 99 c to 1.99 c a pound of chicken. Cooking a 5-7 pound (raw) chicken would cost us anywhere from 5$ to 14$ However at wholesale prices of 1.5$ usd per kilogram (2.2 pounds) for costco, They're able to maybe purchase chicken for 75 cents a lb. And guarentee the sale while we don't know if thawed chicken gets thrown out. But there's been wholesale areas i've seen costco sell chicken 45 cents a lb wholesale before raising to 65-79 cents a lb! At 75 cents a lb whole chicken, that gives costco about 3.50$ to 4.99$ in ingredients cost. Add in 30 cents for packaging /clamshell and that's 3.80$ to 5.30$. Add in labor at maybe 50 cents each and that's 4.30$ to 5.80$. Or +0.70$ to -0.80$. Complete guestimation. That means costco might break even or gain/lose 0.70$ or -0.80$ on each sale. But when you come in and spend 200$ on the chicken at a 2-10% profit margin of a store and 60-120$ on a membership. That means costco might lose 10 cents avg on the chicken. But win 60-120$ on the year (membershipp dues), and 4-20$ on the 200$ trip you made there to buy the 5$ chicken.
