Eating the mouthwatering Rib Steak at Peter Luger Steakhouse

This was our second visit to the Peter Luger Steakhouse in Brooklyn NY and it was definitely our best. Last time we ordered just the porterhouse but this time, we got a chance to try the Rib-eye steak and it was by far our most favorite cut of meat at this steak house yet!

It is nice that you young people have money and are able to enjoy a lot of fun together. However, it is important that rules of etiquette and table manners are followed (reasonable sized bites and chewing with one's mouth closed). Constant cellphone use is a definite social faux-pas especially when eating in a known classy restaurant in a huge city. Removal of gentleman's hat is also a social tenet that should be observed. While I enjoy watching young people having fun - perhaps adhering to some social norms (before they're all gone) is something one should aspire to. Enjoy.

I never had their rib eye. We always get the porterhouse. Does the rib eye taste the same? To be honest all I taste in the porterhouse is the butter, is the ribeye exactly the same or if you were given a blind taste test and you weren't told you would be eating two different steaks, would you still know that they are different or would you think it's the same steak?

Yes the ribeye is definitely a different cut. The ribeye has more fat content so you definitely get more of the funky dry age flavor in the ribeye cut compared to the sirloin and fillet cuts of the porterhouse which are much leaner than the ribeye. Personally I prefer ribeye when I ever I cook steak for myself at home.

Not a big deal, I always wear hoodies or sports jerseys. If I'm gonna go out to enjoy a meal, I'm gonna wear something super comfortable. Dress up clothes are almost always more uncomfortable, don't stretch as much, and then a pain in the ass to clean.

I am shocked the steakhouse does not follow the golden rule of never cutting your steak in a separate pieces. It cools the steak down too quickly and you lose the juices that are still hot.
