We’re Marianne and Chris, a married couple from the UK. After some life changing events we decided that life was just too short. We sold all our belongings, bought an old Campervan & rented our house to travel full time. The aim is to attempt to visit every country in the world in either our van or with a backpack. You can find water for Trudy from mosque's gardens. There are many taps. Mosques are everywhere so I am sure finding water wont be problem anymore for you 😊

The pilaf with lamb is not bulgur. We call it Arpa Şehriye(lit Barley Noodle), but it is noodle just shaped as Barley. Usually, we fry them to a golden color before adding rice for rice pilaf( Şehriyeli Pirinç Pilavı).

Migros grocery stores have been around for along time. We were shopping at a Migros in Levent near Istanbul in 1971 . I see you got some Efes beer. Efes is the word for Ephesus, one of Turkey's most famous ruins you'll have to visit. Happy travels.

Hi again, I forgot to say you , if you can visit Pergamon or Bergama in turkish, which has a spectacular Acropolis up on the hill and also the Eskulapio the medical center of antiquity, and the Red Basilik,also there are a wonderful musem, and the city is very interesting because is the modern side to the west and the old town which the Red Basilika and akropolis is, and is close to Ayvalik, about 60 kms.

My favorite travelers! Please please don’t miss the small hilltop ancient town of Behram. It’s the most picturesque little village in Turkey, perched on a hilltop with the ancient ruins of the Assos and Temple of Athena.

Just more suggestions of places for you to visit which are amazing : Turkey is full of fantastic waterfalls : Manavgat near Antalya - there are places to eat right by the waterfall. Düden waterfalls - it’s in a park that has picnic areas - you can also walk under the waterfall. Aksu- again a waterfall in a park. On way to Alanya there’s an underground cave which is meant to be good for those asthmatics, chest problems etc. Oh and Dalyan - this is near to Fethiye - Turkey is banned from building on Dalyan beach as recommended by David Bellamy due to turtles breeding at night. And Saklikent which is near Dalyan

You have finally arrived in Ayvalık woohoo 😁 Ayvalık is one of the most beautiful cities in Turkey. It is the city where we often spent our vacation in summer. The air in Ayvalık is very oxygen-rich and is good for the lungs and Sleeping is also very relaxing there. It is one of the strongholds for olives and olive oil. The only downside is that Ayvalık is often very windy. But it has beautiful coastlines and beaches and the sea water is one of the cleanest in the Mediterranean. The city is full of inland tourists in the summer months, but during this time of year it will be pretty empty also because of the pandemic I believe. I hope you will have a wonderful time there. If you can please visit the sarımsaklı beach, it is one of the longest sand beaches in Turkey. Another suggestion would have been "Şeytan Sofrası", but I saw that you were already there 😉😊

I don't think you will have a problem with the police in the pandemic. Policemen are tolerant in Turkey. I say this as a Turk who knows his country. I don't think it will be a problem because you are a tourist. You have a excuse. So you can wander easily in restrictions. Anyway, the restrictions do not apply in unusual situations. Like throwing garbage. :)

Not sure it is applied to tourists. But still be careful, the numbers in Turkey are higher than the official numbers. Also, Turkey counts differently, it is not counting positive COVID-19 cases unless there are symptoms. This was confirmed by the health minister. Be safe! If possible, get vegetables, fruits, legumes at local markets, much cheaper. The supermarket, I only use for branded and luxury goods or meats. But a local butcher can be better here too. Usually, if you see a lot of customers at any place, it is a good sign.

You must visit Manici Kasri in Yesilyurt (almost 20-30km north west of Edremit) and see Eagean see from the top of Kaz Daglari. It must be seen.

Good question! Chris has a monthly subscription to a music channel called Epidemic sounds to be able to use the music on social media - it is one of our monthly costs that we pay to be able to produce the videos .... but it makes all the difference as they have such a great choice of titles and styles of music @Epidemicsounds
