With all those miles on Trudy, does she have a preventive maintenance schedule? She is a champ and ought to be displayed somewhere in the UK where her exploits will be admired!

If you notice from their previous travel vlog in West Bengal, UP looks far better in terms of cleanliness and road quality. Under Yogi, UP has truly transformed big time

😂 I lived in loughton essex,reading,Cardiff,Leeds, Edinburgh now back in my home state of Kerala india,I have lived in west Bengal for 4 years,Honestly West Bengal up and parts of Delhi are too chaotic congested and garbage spilled all over the place Western India in a way is slightly better,Punjab is slightly better, Uttarakhand and Himachal are good are sort of clean The best state in India looking at personal and public space hygiene and is Kerala,much better West Bengal and all North India is now infested with this electric tuk tuks most of them are illegal means not registered they actually cause so much of delay in roads,and that's a new phenomenon in these parts only 7 years old In the south you will only see proper auto rickshaw not these tuk tuk pests,it was haunting to see you travel through that gali roads of Bengal and eastern up exasperating I stay in a place which is much better and organised i even feel my people are crank headed but when I saw your video I feel so good and I am loving my people 😅

Another great video, many thanks and keep up the great work. Are you aware though that KZbin seem to have significantly increased the frequency of adverts on your videos to every few minutes. It’s quite frustrating. Sorry for bringing this up as we do really enjoy watching you.
@TREADtheglobe7 сағат бұрын
Thanks for the info. Sorry KZbin are showing more ads. We leave KZbin to place the ads and the AI should show the viewer quantity of ads baased on their viewing behaviour - If you dont want to see them and skip it will know that and show you less. We will keep an eye on it - thanks again - Chris

LOVED this episode - brought back so may memories of our travels in India. You've probably already passed through the Jaipur area by now but if not - one place we explored a few years ago was Bagru village. It's off the tourist trail (or at least it was when we went 11 years ago) and the entire village is devoted to the art of hand block printing with elements practiced in different houses throughout the village from dying of the fabric, carving the wooden blocks for printing and hand printing. It was one of the most interesting experiences of all our years of travel! Maybe you'll be able to visit one day too! xx

One of the things the British rulers did during their colonization of India was to take down Hindu temples for their marble, ship it back to London and they built buildings in London with marble from those temples. And believe it or not the Taj Mahal was on the list for dismantling but one brave young British lieutenant was able to stop the dismantling of the Taj Mahal. This is not a joke and this is not a lie,… this is the truth.

I went to Taj Mahal by train in the morning and then went back by car with my guide. It is an incredibly massive monument but I don’t think it’s easy to see from a distance. It’s huge absolutely huge. I also went to the fort/palace. An amazing place.

Wow!!! The Taj Mahal!! 😱😱 What a great spot to view, too, if one isn't going to brave the crowds to go inside. Amazing! How you found yourselves behing the speaker trolley!! 😀😃😄 Walking another 150km in the heat is impressive enough, but to be dancing along the way too! 🥵 *AMAZING* temple/fortress!! 400+ years old and still a functioning place. Absolutely incredible. So glad Trudy has her voice back!! ❤️❤️😎👍xx

Going to Varanasi from Kolkata you must have passed in or around the city of Asansol. Asansol is the birthplace of English pop star Cliff Richards (Devil Woman) where he stayed till he was 5/6 years old when his family of Railway employees migrated to England. He did come back to visit some time in the late 1970s after he had become famous. Cliff Richards is an Anglo-Indian which means he has at least one female Indian ancestor. The British had reserved jobs for Anglo-Indians in the Railways which continued for some time in independent India till they were abolished. This led to the Anglo-Indians to migrate to the white Commonwealth countries.

Sorry to spoil your excitement, you tasted the best food the world, travelled the globe , down the valley up the mountain, but once by end of the day you lay in bed about to rest and sleep, you might ask, ' are those the best the world could offer you!, you might want to see the universe since the earth is only a dot from Mars. But being human, we will never satisfy with our desire lust and need, by the of a journey, you might ask, ' is that all there is?

Fyi, Hinduism is not a religion it is the culture of India developed over thousands of years. And about the modern caste system in India has been developed by the British, their usual way of divide and rule. Anyway you need the vedas to know about how ancient caste system worked.

I can’t believe you went all that way, were SO close to one of the 7 wonders of the world but didn’t go inside to see it properly. What was the reason? Maryanne you are doing SO well with the driving. It’s a different world there on the roads hey. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your journey home. It’s been a great 4 year adventure watching you drive around the world.

What the man at the toll booth was saying is the FastTag. It is issued by the Indian Govt. and is mandatory to be in every vehicle. It is basically an RFID tag that you paste in front of your windshield. The Fasttag has a wallet that can be recharged. When you are at a toll booth, you need not pay cash and the cameras at the toll scan the Tag and automatically deduct the money from your FastTag wallet. However, if you do not have the FastTag and pay by cash, you need to pay double the toll amount as penalty. For eg, if your toll is Rs.50, you would need to pay Rs.100 in cash. However, I don't know if you can get a FastTag on a foreign vehicle and recharge it if you don't have an Indian bank account.

My husband’s deepest desire at this point is his life is to have a train horn on our camper van and his pick up truck. He wants it loud enough to melt the mirrors off the vehicles who are rude and obnoxious. If you can drive in India, then you are ready for Africa.

You haven't visited India unless you've walked barefoot around the Taj - what a missed experience! We also enjoyed Fatehpur Sikri, particularly the old chaps jumping from a huge height into the green ponds!
