Look into the Engel live bait cooler. It is absolutely amazing, the inside has a nice net to easily get bait out, the bubbler has 4-5 speed settings and is rechargeable and a full charge lasts a long time. Also can act like a regular cooler !

That spot I'd totally be dunking some of those crabs. Get a bucket of fiddlers to drop around those pilings for the big sheepies! Whenever the shrimp stealers are active those crabs can be a godsend because most bait stealers don't touch them! I've gotten mangroves, black drum, and even redfish on them too and I swear on them for catching sheepies they outfight shrimp by far for em! I'd totally have my ultralight with a tiny panfish hook and bit of shrimp out there too. So many bites stealing baits probably means a lot of small fish you can throw out as live bait. That sand perch would have been killer redfish candy! I always bring my 4lbs line ultra light to catch pins, croakers, sand perch, etc for live bait and cut bait to slam the reds and trout! I'm further south than you are but the same stuff works up there! You should check out the space coast some time. Titusville, Oak hill, and Sebastian have crazy good fishing. The NASA reserve has haulover canal and the mosquito lagoon you can hit from shore or kayak that always have bull reds. Sebastian inlet is legendary world wide for the good fishing!

Double D's for the win... lol..I was thinking you should just cook up the shrimp some butter and garlic sauted up. Great video. Love your sense of humor.

Pro tip, the bubbler will run off of one D battery as well. It obviously dies twice as fast but the aeration is just as strong.
@slim45GMG14 күн бұрын
At sister's creek with live shrimp just drop down right in front of you, you don't have to cast out far the fish under the dock 🤞🏾
@fisherofmenandfish90214 күн бұрын
The aerators will keep working for much longer if you leave them in the case they come in. The saltwater messes them up fast if you don’t from my experience

Did the croaker that ended up being the star of the show have some kind of growth or parasite between his pectoral fin and gill plate? I thought that I saw something but couldn't positively identify it...

When you come back to Holden Beach NC hit me up cause I can take you to some awesome places. You went on sailfish Rd last time to the park and fishing is horrible there. I got the juice on fishing spots! Both fresh and salt water or even brackish water!
@willabernethy483215 күн бұрын
I absolutely love Holden. I only visit two or three times a year now, but in my youth it was at least a dozen times a year. Started coming in the early eighties to the Mountains to the Sea campground. Eleven years old and caught my first doormat flounder in the creek around the Intracoastal. Best memories ever with hopefully many more to come.
