Sakile, thank you for showing us the Monkey Orange. In looks, the fruit we know as Oranges are similar in appearance. Little known fact: people who grow Oranges know the fruit is truly ripe when the stem lets go with light tugging. If there's resistance -- it's not ripe. Ours will be ready to harvest at Christmas! 🍊🌞 The trees are beautiful and evergreen. The flowers smell wonderful. They require a lot of water, sun, and well draining soil rich in Compost and Worm Castings.

There's a variety of fruit where I live that's almost a cross between this monkey apple and a pomegranate. It's called a maypop and the edible portions taste like a sour lime custard. It was used by hillbillies to treat scurvy. Interesting stuff.

Why is he not narrating "Nature" or kindred on Tv? The timbre of his voice is riveting! He'd have people watching just for the sheer joy of the aucostics! Book on tape? Oh my! Yeah his accent is a factor, but I had no problem following him.
