Im on a fixed income and have to make sure every penny counts. Your videos give ideas for the really hard times. I've had periods where i ate rice and saltines for a week. You are appreciated.

I do a lot of soups. One can easily last all week but because I want variety... I make one freeze a few portions and pull a different one from freezer so there's varieties to choose from. I use old yogurt/sour cream containers to freeze. Works perfectly for me.

Wow! some people. I love your videos because they are so real. You cook the way people who don't have access to a large food budget, fresh produce or just need a way to use up what they have. I am blessed to not have to worry about where my next meal is coming from. But this was not always the case, there were days when my children were toddlers when I didn't know how I was going to feed them. I love what you do because to me this is what many struggling families find useful and practical.

I work with Seniors and most live on Social Security I try to suggest your videos or ideas on how to feed themselves when money is tight. With the Part D re-design for 2025 I hope many of my seniors will have more money left over and don't have to chose between meds and other needs. You are an angel.

Yum on the breakfast nothing tastes better. I'd add a can of chicken to pop pie. All looks good. I know it is helping a of people. Do thirty for a week for a small family would also be cool. Your so good at it that I know you'd come up with a lot of food for that amount. Peace!

You are right. So many struggle. Growing up, our dinners often were Mac and cheese (the cheapest brand) and a can of cheap tuna. Peas and carrots added if we were lucky. Eggs and rice were cheap eats too. I wish there had been KZbin back them. It sure would have helped tremendously. Sad that people just leave mean comments as you seem like such a nice person and that is quite rare. The fact that you are making different things, making food that is hot and warms the stomach is worth something. The meals are simple and that’s ok. You change it up every week and that is good. Do I believe you feed your family like this everyday? No I don’t but if you had to, you know you could.,suffice to say many places in the states have food pantries and people in need can utilize those if need be. ❤

I lived in Texas for over 40 years and I love HEB. I heard about the storms, stay safe. I love seeing all of your frugal meal ideas. I can see that things can always be changed to suit your needs. I would give up the oranges for a couple more bananas and a bag of lentils. I would use the lentils in the pot pie to make it even hardier. You have some really great ideas that would definitely work in a pinch and that can be easily changed to suit your own needs with about the same budget. Thanks for sharing. See you on the next one.

Like the video. An idea is to take your biscuits and cut them up and mix them in with your pot pie mixture then put in your casserole dish. It cooks up nicely and stretches a little further. They are called bubble up casseroles and my grandkids love making them with me. They especially love the pizza bubble up bake

Very good video! If anyone making negative comments it must be understood that there are many many people out there that have to eat on extremely low budgets. Any suggestion of food combinations on a low budget IS GREAT!! I never mean to be rude but, you only have two meals a day. They are not big meals so you would be very hungry. Would it not be better to show three meals for maybe $20? There's nothing wrong with only 2 meals a day. There's also nothing wrong with having smaller portions, especially if it's mostly fruits and vegetables. This is not meant to be a long-term meal plan. Would it be awful to suddenly start eating this way? Yes, especially if you are not used to food insecurity. But this is way better than eating nothing until payday!
