My Mommas Biscuits 2 Cups Self Rising Flour about a 1/4 cup of Crisco (you can probably use butter, but I've never tried it) about 1 cup of Milk take a fork and incorporate the crisco into the flour until it looks like little pebbles (don't use your hands for this or the heat from them will melt the fat and it will make your biscuits hard), once incorporated add your cup of milk and continue mixing (I usually start with 3/4 cup and add a little more as necessary to get the dough right, you want it pliable but not sticky), flour your counter and knead the dough a few times folding it over, then flour the rim of a cup and cut out your biscuits. I never use a wash on top, but you could to get a deeper color while baking. Bake in an ungreased pan (we always use a round cake pan) for about 20-25 minutes on 350. If you prefer drop biscuits, add a little extra milk, skip the kneading and drop them on a pan using a spoon. This is also the recipe we use to make our dumplings in our chicken and dumplings by making the dough a little more firm by adding extra flour. Hope you get the chance to try it. So delicious. I don't eat bread anymore and this is one of the things I miss. I still make them for my boyfriend. He loves them.

When you have properly seasoned your cast iron pan, it has somewhat of a coating on it that will behave similarly to a non stick pan if you know how to use it. I take a pan that needs to be seasoned and put in a teaspoon of coconut oil in the pan. When it melts, I use a paper towel to spread it around all over the inside. Then I put it in a prepeated oven at 400 degrees for a half hour or so. Your kitchen might get smokey. Rinse and repeat a couple of times after it cools down. When you cook eggs in your seasoned cast iron pan, you want the pan hot - not cold when you add the eggs. When you go to flip the eggs, if they want to stick, move the pan off the burner for a couple minutes and try again. Letting the pan cool off a bit will usually release the stuck eggs.

Freeze the pasta in individual serves and microwave each from frozen in 5-7 minutes. It'll be perfect as soon as you work out how long your microwave needs. And the meals will be good for twelve months.

One of the ways I do my eggs if I want an over easy egg without having to flip it is to crack your egg into your hot pan. Let it cook for about 30 seconds cover the pan completely shut off the heat and the residual heat that’s in the pan will cook the top of your egg very lightly. Also, this method helps in getting it out of the pan with a spatula you won’t have as difficult a time. I hope that helps you.

This is pretty healthy. I have all these ingredients already. We eat whole food plant based and this is perfect for that. We can substitute the milk for another kind and leave out the ham.

Love the Marcel's Market Pantry milk from Dollar Tree. And the sausage. I always shop Dollar Trees near me before a regular grocery store. A few things are cheaper at grocery, but shopping Dollar Trees has cut my food bill in half. Really enjoyed this video. I love getting new ideas for inexpensive meal plans. ❤

When my children were small I would always keep a box of powdered milk on hand because the milk was always for the kids and if I needed it for cooking, I would just make the powdered milk. It was so convenient to have on hand too.

Cast iron takes longer to heat, so maybe you aren't getting your pan hot enough before putting the food in, and then it sticks.

Hello,♥ I say no for frozen pasta, I have already tried and it is not good.. better to make the sauce separately then freeze it in portions, and then cook the pasta the same day you are going to eat 🍝 you made me laugh so much about teenagers..no makeup so they stay hidden 😆🤣
