The secret to using tire plugs is to keep the tire of the vehicle at a good angle to reem it out. Then while the tire pump is going, put in the tire plug, turn 90 degrees and done. Trim the end to half an inch, and good. If it didn’t work, go back and reem it more with the pump running.

I have been traveling to Mexico since the 1980. I met a woman 18 years ago that never had been to Mexico. Well guess what? Puerto Vallarta is now her favorite town. We have visited P.V. now 9 times and got married there last December. In 2019, we visited Loreto for 7 nights. We rented a car and visited all the beaches to Mulege. We are heading back next week for a second trip. Beautiful area if you like a quiet vacation. No night clubs with overly intoxicated people. Great video guys!

You guys covered pretty much the best of Baja. I enjoyed the full 2 hrs reliving places I've been to, and marking down the ones I will be hitting for sure on my next trip this October. Even in those 2 hours you could not cover a few great trips like Loreto's cañon del Tabor. But its always good to leave something unseen to crave a repeat trip. You guys have an awesome attitude!

If there are rewards for KZbin this one is a winner. Thank you so much for these Alaska videos. We live near Ottawa Ontario in rural Lanark County. We were backing out of our driveway about a month ago and as we turned to drive on the road we spotted a young black bear crossing the road not 500 yards from our home. We didn’t have to drive the ALCAN for that! Your work to share these awesome videos is so appreciated

I really like your style and details. I travelled the baja and mainland extensively from 70's -mid 80's. It was a road less travelled then, much more primitive. I will be buying your guide as we will be travelling rv style later next year. My wife has never been, so we are flying into SJDC and then driving to Los Barriles to see friends. So much to see and appreciate in Mehico. Keep up the good message.

Gosh so many people! In 1988 I did the trip to Cabo solo in my Toyota 4wd pickup for six weeks. I took the dirt road from south of La Paz to Cabo on/near the coast and saw no one for two weeks of driving and beach camping. All I saw were some burned out vehicles LOL. Prep as I recall was mostly a bunch of water, extra 10 gallons gas, two spare tires, tow strap, shovel, sleeping bag, canned food, fishing gear, and a small stove and pan with fuel for the fish cookouts. Not to mention the requisite two wallets with cash, one as an offering to the Federales! LOL In 1982 I drove down to Bajia de Conceptcion with my girlfriend and camped on the beach. Only one other person camping there and it was completely undeveloped with the exception of one small abandoned building and some palapas. Those were the days for adventure travel without the crowds! No GPS, no cell phones!

Wow! I watched and loved the whole show. However, I did see that you guys specified some legal "must do's" that are truly NOT a must. The entire Baja peninsula is a "zona libre", aka free trade zone, therefore, the immigration form is not required for entering the peninsula, and neither is the temporary import permit (TIP), which is only needed if you go into the Mexican mainland, and even then, only needed if you go more than 100 km from the border. Save yourself the time, stress and headache associated with getting and cancelling the TIP if you do not plan on taking a ferry from Baja to the mainland. I have properties all over Baja and have made that drive over 40 times. I love your recommendations! I' m glad you guys had fun!

Hubby and I used to travel down to Baja in our VW camper van when we were in college circa late 1960s to early 70s. We took the van down a treacherous road to Salsipuedes, which means Leave if you Can. I would have to get out of the van to make sure the wheels didn’t go over the edge. I believe now it has a golf course and homes to rent. At the time it had an olive orchard and at the top of the area there was a cement pool which was used to water the orchard but we could skinny dip and relax in it. The trail to the beach was super hazardous. There were a few houses there where there were some kids who we paid to round up rattlesnakes that they killed so we could get their rattles. The kids would skin them and use the skins for hatbands. The place is now a great surf spot with casitas for rent.

Such memories. La Paz is an amazing Colonial stop. Decades ago, on a weekend we found ourselves at the town square near the major Church. Then we watched a 'mating ritual' that made us think we were in Spain 200 years ago. Young guys 15-maybe late 20's would walk one direction (say clockwise) and the cute and pretty single girls (younger maybe 12 to 18?) would walk Dressed to kill with very pretty but classy dresses with their Grandmothers or Aunts in the opposite direction. No touching I saw but major major flirting on both sides. Along with the shy ones blushing. I don't know if this happens every weekend or once a month but it is sweet and very very old fashioned.

Thank you for your road trip show of Baja! We got a lot of great tips for things to bring & places to see. One thing I'd like to mention is that Loreto shopping & restaurants are just as expensive as comparable ones in the U.S. This was in December, 2023 and the exchange was 16-17 pesos to $1. Sometimes the brewery beers were even more. In Loreto, I would totally avoid the American-owned Southern Cajun restaurant (forgot the name but it's a big place, really cute & stands out on a side street outside the main square). Huge disappointed on everything we ordered, drinks, and food down to the sides. There was a cute martini & sushi bar on the same street, it was good! Zapata Brewery was a fun spot but drinks were pricey also! Ya'll were definitely eatin good in the neighborhood! We are going back, this time with our RV in February.

I visited Balandra when the tide was going out. Low tide is surreal, make sure you go when the tide goes out. If you hike in over the hill from Tecolote beach nearby, you can enter Balandra any time during the day without passing the ranger's gate. I think they cut off entry when the parking lot gets filled. I saw that the rangers very strictly clear everyone out at noon.
