I have never made up a bed with sheets & blankets on a tear-down bed. That's too labor-intensive. I just use a sleeping bag. Unroll to sleep. Roll it up to quickly stash it away.

Good video..first time I've seen you two. Those who add negative Class B comments should not buy a Class B. Those who say the Liesure Travel Van models are the best should understand that all LTV coaches are Class B+, normally one foot wider than a true class B, almost to the width of a Class C and bigger to drive, park, etc. If that's what they want, go for it..but, LTVs are a year out to order as of last month. Finally, the 2020 -2021 specs on the Coachmen Galleria are amazing; many previous options are all standard making it a true four-season coach, down to +5 °F. And, it does come with the Truma Combi water heater and furnace in one unit, plus (check out the specs as it has come with this for several years) the "shower miser" that heats the water without wasting a drop until it gets the water up to your desired temp. YES, we do have a new Galleria 24FL 4x4 with Li3 Lithium package on order and are really looking forward to it. Yes, Class B RVing has some limitations but also a lot of advantages. We have checked them all out and have made the choice that is right for us and we shall see how we like it. You guys have given your viewers s lot of great information. Thanks!

I really liked that last on the best. It looks like it made the best use of all the space, and the bed actually looks like it would be comfortable to sleep on, which is the most important thing in the van. If you can't sleep in it, it's no better than a non-RV van.

Frankly if your class B RV is not Sprinter based, you're nutso as the Merc diesel gives you the generator addition along with the superior mileage and that saves much much much travel time with less stops which is a big help. Curious as to no inclusion of the Class B's I've seen with slideouts as that gives you the much needed wider space help and bigger TV's as well?? Lastly any opinion on the electric bed riser option I've seen in the Revel...it also allows for the quick bed and bedding setup ? also us skiers love that 4x4 too

I have a folding Greenspeed Magnum XL recumbent trike that can be put inside a large bag sold by Radical Design. It can slide inside the RV while traveling. I always look at every RV with this aspect in mind. For lighter people, other folding models can be purchased like the Catrike Dumont or the HP Velotechnik Scorpion fs. Room for two of them is important. It is perfect to get set up at a campsite and then ride these around to explore everything after you get all settled in.

I want a PW Lexor TS and found on Amzn a wood pull out pantry that would fit the coat closet giving me more pantry storage. I figure if I can afford this vehicle I can also afford to stop at any hotel IF..I desire a night of more space.The short version allows me to park anywhere as USA's average parking space is just under 20' . I also look for the conveniences offered in this particular model while going down the road. PW's quality in the build is superior IMO and I see that as a good return on my investment. The Class B is designed for a single or couple. Thank you for sharing the over views.

A vehicle this size is the perfect alternative to airplane-and-hotel travel for long and shorter trips, plus being able to stop and enjoy the local scenery along the way, while having most of the conveniences of home. A traveling musician might think of this as a more economicall version of a tour bus. It can also serve as a mobile office/sleeping quarters. This is also most practical because you can cook your food and plan meals on your own time, as well as pack and unpack on your own scheduls and keep an extra set of pots, pans and sheets out there for a quick getaway. .

I love class B’s. So cute! I would actually buy a truck and camper instead. I would have a fixed bed that I can put a good quality mattress in. The bed in the class B’s seem to be covered with vinyl or leather. That seems like it would be squeaky when you move, sweaty when hot and your sheets wouldn’t stay put. That just doesn’t seem comfy, and I value a good night’s sleep.

The first one the lexor is using a fridge that has proven to keep food warm, thus winnebago and ALL others have stopped using this fridge and went to a compressor fridge. That fridge looks great because its large but completely fails in every aspect of real use! Nice comparison video. Pardon the pun, but the Travato G really seems to be in a class by itself. The front dinette, murphy bed, large bathroom, and large refrig/freezer are all better features for full-time RVing. It also appeared to be the only one with positive locking drawers and cabinets. And you could upgrade to lithium and still be cheaper than the premium brands in the comparison. Now if only Winnebago would introduce a class B-plus version of the Travato to get a bit more interior room and exterior storage.

Eat See RV the smaller fridge is a downside to the FL. The bathroom is smaller too. However, the ability to leave the bed made and have the fully usable front living (FL) area with tv and computer desk is a full timers dream. It is interesting to see some Europe based coaches incorporating a front living area with enclosed bathroom and good storage come about now. One thing to think about for younger adventurous van dwellers is 4x4 capability. It makes a HUGE difference in usability and self reliance to handle sticky situations.

I watched this video when it originally came out and now I am watching again. I like the Pleasureway vans but I wish they would be designed with a drop down bed in the rear that was motorized. Like a happy jack bed or the ones over the cockpit areas in some class A rigs. Then underneath the drop down bed there would be a wrap around lounge of sorts with a removable table that can also swing out to the side. I feel a mattress is a mattress and a cushion is not a mattress. This way you could have both areas and your bed could be raised to the ceiling all day when not in use. By moving the sitting area under the bed this would free up an additional 3 linear feat or so in the van behind the kichen/bathroom area.

I am a few years out from buying and I know they will be even better in 5 years. What is the sweet spot for buying used? 3,4,5 years old? I know right now they is great demand, Also know if the MSRP is $150. a show price discount could be $99K or similar. Maybe not right now due to demand but in the past that was the case. So for example you get a 150k for 100K in a buy it today deal at a show, when is it a 50K or 60K rig???? 3,4,5 years???? on average of course all thing considered.
@EatSeeRV4 жыл бұрын
The first year most RVs (not all) depreciate by 10% to 20% to give you an idea. But it's not that aggressive after the first year. Certain brands hold value over others. Our latest rig is 10 years old. We remodeled it completely but it's a champ that will keep us comfortable for a long time. There's no perfect spot for age it's a matter of finding the right RV for your budget and one that meets you goals

We had a Pleasure-Way and ran into the same problem of taking up and down the bed each night, although they are superb quality. We then switched to a Winnebago with Mercedes-Benz Sprinter which we still have but we can't recommend that chassis because of (1) cost issues and (2) it can't take B20-B30 except in emergencies although the salesmen will tell you it can (don't listen to them.)

Winnebago has other class B's on different chassis. Have you considered switching to a Ford or dodge? - Liz
@ChristianTravelers4 жыл бұрын
@@EatSeeRV Hi! Yes, we have thought about it but we really like the "V" floorplan (rear twin beds) of the Navion/View that we have and there are really only three RV's produced at this time with the RTB floorplan that are not on a Sprinter chassis. The first two are the LTV Wonder RTB and Coach House 271XL and those we just can't afford to switch to at this time. The most realistic alternative is the Thor Axis or Vegas 24.1 on the Ford V-10 Class C chassis but we are very concerned about the quality of Thor products. So, for the last year or so we are paralyzed by the lack of other choices. What do you see in the Winnebago line that we might substitute?
@EatSeeRV4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I can't think of anything that's not on a sprinter chassis that would fit you any better than the view you already have. The 2021 LTV Wonders are getting the new Ford Transit chassis which has the Ecoboost motor, plus AWD, and auto start gas generator! But, I'm with you. As mush as I would love to have an LTV it's just not financially viable at the moment. - Dennis ✌️

Best advice for part time is walk them and just watch several tours. I'm sure you'll find a layout you like! Thank you for watching though!

This are very nice but have extended bodies so we didn't include them here.

That doesn't seem so bad to me making the bed. Im liking it,but I worry a Mercedes-Benz will cost more for parts and repair then a Ford or Chevy

Great job with the walk through and review. It's greatly appreciated. When I go to an RV show, typically, folks are walking in and out when I want to take pix or video. Again, super job!

FYI: I'm a B van fan, but still prefer a Fat B or B Plus. Sad that the entry price point for B vans and pluses is around $70k. Most overpriced at over $100k. Definitely an upscale expenditure.

A travel trailer seems like a much better and less expensive option for full time living. Class B just doesn't have the storage, and packing up everything to run to the store for more beer would be a huge PITA.

Travel trailer will always be bigger when attached to a truck unless it's like an rpod, tear drop, or super small 10ft trailer. It's also not as annoying as you'd think because pack up and set up take very little time. We have a scooter we bring with us in case we need to run somewhere. - Liz

Dug deep into the archives for this one. It's the first really old one I've seen. Too much free time on this overnight shift.

Yes this is an old video haha

@@EatSeeRV well, I hadn't seen anything fresh posted for two or three days and it's interesting to see where people started out. Maybe I'll try a super old one this week and see how things have changed.

Very informative and excellent video but I will never understand the adjustable cap backwards look ;-)

The last one was nice except the bed so small I don’t see how two people fit . But I could see it being good for a solo person . Good job on the video good info in it

Glad you enjoyed it. Yes we didn't lay on it but it actually seemed decently large very similar to a normal corner bed size. - Liz

Wow! … but the price and I'm with him … I prefer the corner bed vans. ( without a slide out ).

Travato: “You can get up to 200 W of solar installed from the factory”. Correction: 215 watts on the 2020s and it comes standard - or at least that’s the configuration that comes on every one we saw at several dealerships. That was one of the deciding features for us. $85,404 sticker price for a 2020.5 59G with 2 solar panels and generator standard, power awning, ladder and bike rack. We pick our new Travato up Monday. Woo hoo!

Coachman 24FL has too many drawbacks especially considering it is two feet longer than the previous sprinter: smaller bath, smaller fridge, smaller almost unusable sink(smaller than the sink in my first 8 ft. slide in camper in 1964). The Fresh and Grey tanks are also SMALLER!!! WTF? and the black is way bigger than needed. Doesn't have the comfort + recirculating hot water!! Lastly, $150,000 will buy a medium class A albeit gas rig or med.-lg. class C Diesel !!

they are not bad but for the price they should look like a suite at the Marriot. Just ridiculous markup must be huge. You can do alot better for less money and yes a bigger sink. You dont need a huge shower bathroom area its a waste of space unless you spend your whole day in the bathroom. I like the bathroom at the back makes more sense The front area should be the part converting into the bed. These seem overbuilt and my bet is there will be lots of issues after only a few trips
