Suction mount - Just stick it to your windshield at the top of the window, and hang it upside down. The footage can always be flipped post-edit when needed.

Yes the loop record settings are the same - not sure if the x3 has dashcam mode but it doesn’t need it as you can use loop record

I have used the X3 as dashcam on a long drive. It was getting very hot. Nice that you showed the settings on X4. I will try to lower the specs and use the aircon. Thanks… 🥂

Stop! This is ridiculous. You are not ditching your dashcam for and X4. First, its not practical for everyday car driving use. You would need to run a power cable to keep it charged or charge i every day. You would also need to remove it from your dashboard every time you park or your window will get smashed and it will be stolen. It also looks ridiculous on your dashboard mounted like that. Real dashcams have GPS stats on the screen with speed and direction... If you want a dashcam, buy a real dashcam that is permanently mounted in your car..

The video talks about the need for powering it as well as the need for removing it with the quick release mount and the fact I don’t use it everyday for all journeys so for me it’s fine and I haven’t got another dashcam. It’s not for everyone though. Thanks for the comment

I ditched my dashcam because of its low video quality. Very easy to use etc. but when I needed to see f.ex. register plates I just couldn't. Now I'm using my old but still good Gopro Hero 7, and it does fairly good job. A 360 camera would be best.
